Voice of The Nature
Once there was an unassuming town known as Harrisonville nestled amid the verdant valleys and towering mountains. This quaint, peaceful town served as a home to many, but none quite as unique as one young boy named Jeremy.
Jeremy was an orphan, without any remembrance of his parents. He was brought up by the townsfolk who took turns to feed and clothe him. He was different from the other kids, though. By the tender age of five, he had already demonstrated an uncanny aptitude for understanding the language of animals, a gift that the town considered to be a blessing.
One day as Jeremy was wandering through the woods, he met an old raccoon named Rox who was in desperate need of help. The raccoon had stepped onto a rusty bear trap that had wounded its left paw. Jeremy assured Rox he'd help him and with his small hands, he managed to carefully extricate the raccoon's paw from the clutches of the trap. He treated the wound as best as he could and carried him to the town.
News of Jeremy’s bravery spread throughout the town in a whirl. It wasn’t long before a crowd gathered around them, looking on in disbelief. Despite their surprise, they trusted Jeremy – after all, he was their little hero.
Days turned into weeks, weeks to months and Jeremy and Rox became inseparable friends. Meanwhile, Rox's wound gradually healed and he walked again. Rox expressed his profound thanks and told Jeremy that he wanted to repay his bravery by offering him his ultimate gift.
Rox shared that he belonged to a legendary line of raccoons who possessed an ancient gift: the ability to communicate with not just animals, but the elements of nature itself – the windy breeze, the fiery sun, the gushing water, and the mother earth. He wished to pass on this ability to Jeremy, some power unseen in humans before.
Jeremy accepted the honour and underwent rigorous training. Rox guided him to listen and speak the language of nature carefully and patiently. Jeremy slowly started understanding the whispers of the wind, the murmurs of rivers, the vibration of the earth, and the warmth of fire.
Harrisonville was not just a quiet and unassuming town anymore. It was now celebrated for not just its peace but also for its unique miracle - Jeremy. He was no ordinary boy, but a saviour.
His newfound connection to nature proved a boon to the town. The unpredictable weather, the occasional forest fires or the sudden floods, couldn’t harm Harrisonville as Jeremy was there to communicate, negotiate and keep them safe.
But this peaceful existence was disrupted when a corporate tycoon decided to wipe off Harrisonville from the map to extract the minerals underneath. He planned to bulldoze the houses, cut down the trees, and leave nothing behind.
When Jeremy heard the whispers of earth, he couldn’t believe it. He decided to take a stand. With the support of the townsfolk, the unanimous animals, and the backing of the mighty elements, he confronted the tycoon.
The Great Confrontation, as it would later be called, was a display of wills. But, Jeremy had something the tycoon didn't, the unified strength of nature. He used his skills to show the tycoon the richness of Harrisonville; how each breeze added life, each river nurtured, and the earth was their home.
Seeing Harrisonville's worth beyond minerals opened the tycoon’s eyes, and he retreated. The town was safe, thanks to Jeremy, their defender, their Voice of Nature.
In the following years, Jeremy grew up to be the protector of Harrisonville, preserving its peace and beauty, maintaining harmony between nature and its inhabitants and securing it from all forms of harm external or internal. He remained the beacon of hope, the embodiment of unity, the minor boy whose voice echoed through all realms of nature and safeguarded his world.
