Moved by the genuine empathy, Dusk's guard weakened. Rendil took this chance to invoke the power of Soul Stone, which not only repelled Dusk’s dark magic but also started mending his wounded heart. The stone’s influence caused Dusk to break down, this sign of vulnerability led to the crumbling of his malicious aspirations.
In the end, Dusk, shedding his sorcerer’s guise, was accepted back into the larger fold of the wilderness.
