Thorn - The Silent Guardian
In the town of Eldridge, nestled comfortably beneath the roots of ancient mountains and beside a sapphire river, there lived a little girl named Lily. Lily was born as a symbol of hope for the isolated, tiny town of Eldridge. What made Lily special was her birthmark, a star-shaped mark on her left hand, signifying the forgotten prophecy of 'The Child of the Star', destined to bring prosperity.
One day, a nearby clan, The Koshars, known for their cruelty and thirst for domination, learned about Lily and decided to kidnap her for their advantage. However, what the dictating Koshar clan hadn't factored in was Thorn, the brooding blacksmith of Eldridge.
Thorn was not just any ordinary man. His colossal physique carried a strength that could bend metals at will. However, it was his past that added to his enigmatic presence. Long ago, he was a legendary warrior who laid down arms and adopted pacifism in memory of his deceased family. When he learned about the imminent danger to Lily, a dormant flame ignited in him.
Meanwhile, at the Koshar’s fortress, Lily was treated as a mystical object than a living being. The clan waited for the full moon night when the prophecy stated the power would reveal itself. Unlike their anticipation, Lily, scared, missed home and longed for her friends.
Back in Eldridge, Thorn was resolute on rescuing Lily. His first step was challenging as it was personal: reacquainting himself with his swords. As he unsheathed them after years, recollections flashed, and so did remorse. He recalled the blissful days of his wife and son. Seeing their smiling faces rekindled a flame of determination; he recognized that he now had a new purpose to protect.
On the foreboding night, the moon at its pinnacle, the Koshars readied for the ritual. Simultaneously, equipped with his swords and resolute determination, Thorn set for Koshar's fortress. The silent night only hindered his pursuit slightly as his warrior instincts kicked in.
Thorn’s arrival at the fortress was anything but quiet. Soldiers fell like dominos, their arrogance and strength meaningless in front of Thorn's seasoned skill. However, he was not invincible. With the wounds- physical and emotional, multiplying, Thorn staggered but didn't waver. His resolution again hardened when he saw Lily, terrified, in the ceremonial hall.
Cashing on the element of surprise, Thorn engaged the Koshars in the battle, his swords singing their forgotten lethal song. Just as the leader of the Koshars lunged at Lily, Thorn found the strength of a desperate guardian. With a swift strike, he left the leader defenseless and defeated.
As the dawn broke, Thorn returned to Eldridge, wounded, but with Lily. The child of the prophecy now saw Thorn as the guardian of the star. However, Thorn knew that his fight was justified, not by a prophecy but by the need to protect innocence in a world often too eager to exploit it.
News traveled far, describing Thorn’s heroics. The darkly dressed, brooding figure gained a new name, 'The Silent Guardian'. Thorn, however, remained unperturbed by the recognition. After all, he had not fought for glory; he had fought for something much more valuable- Eldridge, and its symbol of hope, Lily.
