The Wave Scepter: Tears from Atlantis

There was a land engulfed in the skin of the ocean called Atlantis. Its land was kissed by the sun's golden rays every morning, and it was a paradise full of magic. They were an advanced civilization in terms of technology, magic, and spiritual strength. The Atlanteans adored and worshipped the miracle of water above all, their lifestyles forming a harmonious balance with the ocean life. However, like every thriving civilization, they had a hidden treasure that held the power of their existence yet was also their unique vulnerability.
The Wave Scepter, an enigmatic artifact soaked in immense magic, was this treasure. It was given to the first Atlantean king by the Ocean itself, manifesting mythical powers of controlling the sea and weather. From then on, Atlantis' reign was intact, and peace prevailed for centuries.
King Neptune, the current guardian of the scepter, was a wise and benevolent leader. While he cherished his people and the scepter's protective power, a part of him grieved the weapon's potential misuse. Neptune was blessed with a curious and intelligent daughter, Princess Marina. She was the ocean's favorite, flowing with the untamed spirit of the sea, and carried an innate understanding of the scepter.
Meanwhile, darkness started brewing in the north. King Ignis of Igniferra, a fire land, had heard tales of the Wave Scepter. Hindered by his barren land and constant calamities, Ignis's growing envy and greed for the scepter fogged his sense of righteousness. He decided to wage war against Atlantis to claim the power he lacked.
As the clouds of the next great war thickened, Neptune entrusted Marina with the crucial task of guarding the scepter. Not so much because she was his only blood but due to the surreal connection she had with it. Marina was alarmed yet determined. She took an oath to protect her land, people, and the Wave Scepter.
The war arrived sooner than anticipated. Igniferra's flaming warriors stormed Atlantis. The sea guards put up a fair fight, channeled their energy through the scepter, and it showered a veil of water, extinguishing the advancing fire army. But this did not diminish Ignis's determination; instead, each lost soldier was fuel to his burning desire.
In the war's chaos, Ignis managed to seep through the palace lines, heading straight for the Wave Scepter. Marina, the scepter's protector, stood tall before him. A fierce faceoff between icy water and raging fire ensued. In their exchange, Ignis managed to strike Marina down.
But Marina was not one to be defeated. Despite her wounds, she held onto the scepter, which now pulsed more vigorously. It seemed agitated, mirroring her firmly liquid eyes. As she thrust it forward, a colossal wave sprang from it, powerful enough to douse the fires of Igniferra.
In one final blow, Marina and the Wave Scepter drained their life force to unleash a devastating wave, washing away Ignis and his warriors. But this act came with a hefty price. Atlantis was safe but not without tragedy. Marina fell to the floor, lifeless, the scepter silent next to her.
The war was over, but grief washed over Atlantis. The princess who was once full of life lay pale as white sand. But the miracle of water wasn't over. Amidst the mourning, the Wave Scepter stirred back to life one last time. It twirled around Marina, wrapping her in a splendid cloak of water. A silver tear rolled down from the scepter, touching her deathly pale lips and then, slowly, her eyes fluttered open, color returning to her cheeks.
Atlantis wept tears of joy, this time, their beloved princess, their heroine was back, and so was their trusted ever powerful Wave Scepter. From that day on, they called the Wave Scepter, 'Tears from Atlantis', a symbol of their eternal bond with the ocean, and of sacrifices that were given and then gently healed by its magical touch.
