The Triumph of Friends

Once upon a time, in a serene village nestled within green valleys and surrounded by lofty mountains, lived a group of three inseparable companions - Sam, Grace, and Ben.
Sam was an inventor, always bustling about with quirky gadgets. Grace was a painter, her aptitude for beauty transforming even the mundane into masterpieces. Ben, on the other hand, had a knack for melodies. His tunes could sway even the harshest of hearts.
Each of them respectively owned small shops in the village and earned their livelihood by utilizing their talents. Sam’s innovative inventions, Grace’s charming canvases, and Ben’s hypnotic instruments were beloved souvenirs for the travelers passing through the village.
One day, a rich landlord named Jonas moved into their village. He was an ostentatious man, with a penchant for buying art. He wanted to acquire the monopoly of selling these creative marvels, intending to make a hefty profit out of other's talents.
Jonas approached one by one, offering to buy each of their creations at a hefty price, on the condition that they wouldn’t sell their work to anyone else. Tempted, each agreed, unknowingly falling into Jonas’ scheme.
Soon, Jonas started selling their creativity at exceedingly high prices, unaffordable for the ordinary. Straying travelers were turned off by the high prices, and slowly, their visits dwindled. The landlords' cash flowed, but the village lost its tourism charm it previously held.
The three friends, witnessing the growing desolation of their once-flourishing village, felt regret creeping up on them. Seeing their village, which used to be brimming with joy and laughter, turning into an uninviting location, they realized their mistake. They made a pact to take their art back from Jonas and restore the village's charm.
Sam, using his inventive wit, created copies of their crafts, identical to the originals. Grace's artistic vision helped perfect the duplicated pieces, while Ben composed a ballad, narrating the tale of their village to showcase during the village festival.
The day of the festival arrived. The village was adorned with golden lanterns and vibrant blossoms. The villagers, though fewer, gathered around to celebrate. Jonas, dressed in his finest attire, was selling the 'exclusive' crafts at his pavilion.
Suddenly the soft strumming of a guitar echoed. Ben started narrating their tale, entrancing the audience with his melody. As his song reached its climax, Sam and Grace unveiled their identical artefacts. The crowd gasped in surprise.
Sam announced that they would henceforth sell their art to everyone at affordable prices, much to the jubilation of the villagers. Jonas, left agog, watched as the villagers flocked to Sam, Grace, and Ben and their attractive creations.
Their gamble worked. The story of the triumphant friends spread, and soon, tourists started pouring in again, eager to witness the art that caused such an uproar. The village was lively again, with children's laughter echoing off the mountains and the tinkling bells of the shops filling the air every day.
From that day, Sam, Grace, Ben, held on to their pact, vowing never to let the greed for wealth ruin their beloved village. They lived their remaining life, creating and sharing their talents, eventually becoming legends of their village.
When Gorbal, the local bard, used to sit by the fire narrating tales, the 'Triumph of Friends' became a mantra, a cautionary tale for all, asserting the importance of unity, friendship, and the potent power of art in their community.
