The Tale of Two Princes of Zafar
In the heart of the Alpine forests, where the snow-capped peaks kissed the clear blue skies, stood a daunting castle known as Zafar. The castle was home to the esteemed royal family of Regora, known for their unmatched wisdom and benevolent rule. The castle was filled with thriving bonds of love, resilience, and loyalty, except in the case of Prince Adrian, whose heart was consumed by envy, bitterness, and a thirst for the crown.
Prince Adrian was the youngest of the King's five children and inherited an undeniable charisma and intelligence from his parents. However, he was also narcissistic, cunning, and ready to trample anyone who obstructed his path to kingship. He was especially envious of his eldest brother, Prince Ethan, the rightful heir to the throne, adored by the people of Regora for his kind heart, courage, and strong leadership.
One chilling winter night, a devious plan arose in Prince Adrian's mind - to eliminate Prince Ethan. With a wicked smirk, Adrian approached the Castle witch who was feared by all but him. Believing his lie about wanting to protect Ethan from harm, she handed him a potion that would put the drinker into a deep sleep.
Cheers filled the grand feast hall, where a lavish meal was hosted for the coming of age ceremony of Prince Ethan. As the tradition demanded, Prince Adrian was to offer a chalice of exquisite wine to his elder brother. As anticipated, he mixed the potion with wine. Clueless, Prince Ethan thanked Adrian, raised the chalice in a toast, and drank it to the last drop.
However, instead of falling into a slumber, Prince Ethan began to laugh uncontrollably. Bewildered, Prince Adrian turned to the witch who revealed that she had seen through his wicked intentions and replaced the deadly potion with a laughter-inducing one. Furious, Adrian drew his sword toward the witch, but before he could attack, he was disarmed and arrested by the king's guards.
Exposed and defeated, Adrian was banished from Regora forever. Prince Ethan revealed that he had noticed his younger brother's destructive path and the change in behaviour of the castle witch. Convinced something was amiss; he shared his suspicions with his father, King Garett, who then devised this plan to expose Adrian.
The Kingdom of Regora rejoiced in the face of justice. They celebrated their prince who was not only brave and strong but also clever and intuitive. Prince Ethan ascended the throne years later and proved to be an exceptional king, restoring peace, upholding justice, and bringing prosperity to his kingdom. His reign was remembered as the golden times of Regora.
The story of Prince Adrian became a tale whispered in hushed tones across Regora. It served as a timely reminder about the destructive power of consuming envy and the ultimate triumph of truth and justice. Nothing was heard of Prince Adrian thereafter, but the lessons from his story resonated in the stone walls of the Castle Zafar and the hearts of the people of Regora, for eternity.
