The Tale of Lost City: Elara
In the ancient realm of humankind, where myth and reality danced hand in hand, there existed a captivating city named Elara. Blanketed between majestic mountains and encased by a colossal stream, Elara was a city of dreams.
Renowned for his bravery and wisdom, King Elden ruled Elara. He was a benevolent ruler and the joy of his people. Let it be the richest merchant or the poorest peasant; everyone was treated with equality and fairness. Under King Elden's rule, Elara bloomed into a prosperous city, rich in art, culture, and trade. The exceptional beauty of Elara rumoured across the globe nurturing the city's fame and appeal.
Unfortunately, Elara's extremely enchanting splendour grabbed the wrong eyes. Zorkon, the ruthless king of Dralkando, coveted Elara with his sinister eyes. Being a devotee of black magic, he had the power to transform anything beautiful into a grotesque ugliness, which was exactly what he schemed to inflict upon Elara.
The news of Zorkon's menacing plan reached Elara, invoking a wave of panic among the people. However, King Elden stood tall as the unyielding pillar of strength and courage. Despite his immense love for Elara's beauty, he realized that the only way to save his people from the horrifying clutches of Zorkon was by cloaking the city.
An old sage, Alden, who resided in Elara, was an expert in ancient arcane arts. Elden requested Alden to cast a powerful enchantment that could veil Elara from Zorkon's menacing spells. Without a moment's hesitation, Alden agreed.
Over the following days, under the bright crescent moon, the entire city pitched in their efforts to accomplish the magic. A secret charm was inscribed on every stone and corner of the city. It was a charm of strength and hope, the purpose of which was to protect every breath confined in Elara's embrace.
Finally, the day arrived. Under the silver shine of the full moon, Alden began the spell-casting. The charm of each stone and corner of the city activated, immersing Elara in a glowing aura. With a final chant, the city disappeared and was lost to the world, but not to its people.
Zorkon, incensed by his failure, vented his fury on his own kingdom, which eventually led to his downfall. With Zorkon's doom, Elara's threat ceased to exist.
However, the enchantment worked too well. Elara remained hidden, and over time the world forgot about her. Only legends and folklore reminisced about the beautiful lost city.
King Elden and his people continued to thrive within the invisible walls, their lives filled with peace and harmony. The spirit of love and equality - the very essence of Elara, remains undying, a heartening symbol of undeterred bravery and sacrifice.
And thus, the lost city of Elara, hidden from the outside world, exists even today, right under our noses, in plain sight yet unseen. Waiting for a day when the spell would break, unveiling the ancient city in all its glory.
