The Tale of Edgar: The Unlikely Knight

Edgar was different from his peers; he was not the bravest, strongest, or most handsome. Yet, he was kind, gentle and had a heart full of dreams.
Edgar idolized the Knight Riders, protectors of the kingdom, for their bravery and skill. They were an elite group of warriors known throughout the land for their strength and courage. His heart yearned to be strong and brave like these knights, but his modest stature and inability to wield a sword made this dream seem impossible.
One day, while Edgar was busy with his chores near the forest's edge, he stumbledupon a majestic creature, a Phoenix, gravely injured and unable to fly. Edgar, with no hesitation, started nursing the Phoenix with a gentle care only he could offer.
Days turned into weeks, and the Phoenix started gaining strength. The Phoenix revealed she had the power to grant a single wish as a thank you for one’s pure kindness. Edgar, without a blink, said, `All I wish is for the strength to protect my kingdom as a Knight Rider.'
The Phoenix, moved by his selflessness, granted him his wish. Immediately Edgar felt an incredible surge of strength fill his body. To test his newfound power, he picked up a heavy boulder nearby and threw it effortlessly. His wish was granted; he had the strength of the Knight Riders. He was overjoyed and thanked the Phoenix for her kindness.
As days went by, news reached the kingdom of an approaching dragon, a monstrous creature known for its insatiable appetite for destruction. The entire kingdom was overcome with fear. Hearing this, Edgar knew the time had come for him to protect his people.
With his newfound strength, Edgar strode forth to meet the beast. never showing any trace of fear. The dragon, in all its massive glory, arrived, causing a menacing stir all around. However, Edgar, with his unyielding spirit, stood firm.
A great battle ensued. Edgar fought magnificently, his strokes as swift as lightning, as powerful as thunder. The dragon was no match for Edgar's strength and resilience, but as the battle progressed Edgar began to lose his strength. The dragon's fire was scorching and intense, and he was beginning to feel its effects. He fell to his knees, drained entirely.
Just when all seemed lost, the Phoenix appeared from the clouded sky. Remembering his kindness, she swooped down and sang a melody. Instantly, his wounds began to heal, and he felt his strength return. Mustering all his power, he drove his sword through the dragon, ending its reign of terror.
