The Tale of Celine and The Eternal Light
Once upon a time, in an established kingdom named Sereneville, there resided a corrupt king. King Luthor was known for his abhorrent diplomacy and neglected the welfare of his subjects. However, amidst this oppression, there existed a beacon of hope - a young woman named Celine.
Celine was a curious, vibrant and ambitious young woman who had the heart of an explorer. She was an ardent listener of the travelers' tales, who often visited her father's inn, and dreamt of lands far away with visions of different cultures, legends, and mysteries. Still, she was most interested in tales about 'The Eternal Light,' a mythical gem said to possess the power to alter reality.
One night, a mysterious old lady visited the inn, who claimed to possess information about the whereabouts of 'The Eternal Light.' She claimed that the shimmering stone was in 'The Silent Desert,' a barren land known for its mirages and fatal sandstorms.
Excited and determined, Celine embarked on a dangerous journey. She ardently traversed steep mountains, dense forests, and fiercely flowing rivers before finally reaching 'The Silent Desert.' Days turned into nights, and nights to days as she fought savagely against nature’s harshest elements. After days of torment in the desert, she found a cave which the old lady described in her tale.
In the darkness of the cave, she found the gem glowing brilliantly, eliminating the darkness. Captivated by its beauty, Celine reached out and, as she touched ‘The Eternal Light’, she was suddenly imbued with a vision - it presented her the power to change reality. She could wish for anything, even an end to King Luthor's reign. But the vision also warned her of a price to be paid - that of her own life.
Faced with a difficult decision, Celine thought of her people's plight under the brutal King Luthor. She finally decided to sacrifice herself for her kingdom's liberation. The moment she voiced her wish aloud, a blinding light enveloped her, and when she opened her eyes, she was back in Sereneville.
No longer there was the tyrant King Luthor but a wise and benevolent king who prioritized the welfare of his people. Overjoyed, the people celebrated their newfound freedom unaware that it came at the cost of brave Celine's life. Only her father knew what transpired and mourned for his daughter in silence. In Celine's memory, he narrated her tale to the patrons of his inn. Thus, the legend of the brave young woman was whispered throughout the kingdom, touching the hearts of everyone who heard it.
Well, as grand and noble as the story of Celine was, it was filled with mythical elements and unproven truths. One can't help but wonder, though - did the 'Eternal Light' truly exist or was it just a figment of a traveler's extravagant tale? Are the tales of Celine's bravery and sacrifice real or an exaggerated creation of her grieving father? Or was this all a hopeful dream of a young woman who yearned for adventure? Trapped between reality and fiction, the tale of Celine will forever remain an enigma in Sereneville.
