The Sovereign of Light

Once upon a time, in a domain unseen by mortal eyes, existed a kingdom of phenomenal divinity – the empire of Veritas. This fabled territory was ruled by a benevolent king known as the Sovereign of Light, who spent his days administering justice and promoting tranquility throughout his realm. This king, with his celestial powers, safeguarded his dominion from the infamous entities of darkness who constantly aspired to devour the peace and serenity of Veritas.
The king was endowed with the light of pure truth, a shining torch that was said to have the potential to dispel all forms of fallacy. But even though he had once vanquished many formidable foes, the inevitability of age was something he couldn't defy. As he approached the end of his reign, a matter of pressing concern began to plague his peace.
Who was deserving enough to inherit the throne? Who had the moral mettle to wield the light of truth? Following an austere meditation, he announced the Trial of Light, an obstacle-filled quest, the triumphant warrior of which would be deemed worthy of the crown.
Kingdom's bravest congregated, their sight set on the glittering throne. Among them was a humble farmhand, Ven, an ordinary lad with dream-laden eyes that concealed an extraordinary resolve. Unlike others who boasted about their strength, Ven silently listened to all, his heart echoing the axiom that power didn't equate to worthiness.
After weeks of grueling trials, only two contenders remained—Ven and the mightiest warrior of Veritas, Moros, known for his brawn rather than the virtue of his heart. The final trial was the labyrinth of truth, a treacherous maze that manifested the individual's deepest fears using enchantments of illusion.
The snarls of monsters echoed within the labyrinth as Ven entered. The entity suddenly morphed into a colossal serpent with Ven's face, symbolizing his fear of his own potential. With trembling heart, Ven met his mirror image, realizing that true courage lay in accepting oneself. Emboldened, he told the serpent, 'Your presence doesn't scare me as I am no longer afraid of myself’'. Instantaneously, the beast transformed into a tiny snake, slithering away leaving Ven alone.
As Ven emerged victoriously, Moros, who had been overpowered by his own illusions, fled, leaving behind his shattered pride. A cheer of jubilation echoed throughout Veritas as their new king was chosen. Ven, the humble farmhand, was the new Sovereign of Light. With wisdom in his eyes and truth in his heart, he vowed to lead with benevolence, to illuminate their world with the eternal light of truth, proving once and for all that true power dwelt in the heart, not in the fists.
And thus, the boy who was once nobody became the one who would rule over all. He embraced his fear, obliterated it, and then wore his victory like a crown. And from that day onward, Veritas rejoiced under the reign of the farmer, the boy who was now their king. To this day, the story of Ven, The Sovereign of Light, is an enduring testimony to the indomitable presence of truth and light in the face of danger and darkness.
