The Shimmering Voyages of The Forgotten
Once upon a time, in a far away land, nestled between tall mountains and vast seas, resided a little kingdom known as Rippletown. The kingdom, brimming with cheerfulness and harmony, had one peculiar quality. Its inhabitants weren't human beings but forgotten things. Abandoned toys, neglected books, old watches, unfashionable clothes, and countless other items with no perceived value in the human realm found a life and home in Rippletown.
The king of Rippletown was an ancient grandfather clock named Pendulum. Pendulum, known for his wisdom, kept the town running in smooth synchrony with his rhythmic ticking. He had a heart as deep as the ocean and a spirit as timeless as himself.
One sunny morning, a young sailor doll named Marino washed up on the shores of Rippletown. Marino was beautiful, with porcelain skin, sapphire eyes, and hair as black as a moonless night. He wore a torn sailor suit, lending evidence to days of dangerous travel and brave quests. However, he was sad and felt meaningless after being forgotten by his human friend.
As Pendulum, the wise king, heard about the new arrival, he called Marino to his court. He looked upon the young sailor with sympathetic eyes and said, 'Marino, every forgotten thing has a purpose in Rippletown; your sadness won't last for long, for you have a destiny to fulfil.'
Marino was given a little boat and a task to sail the vast sea surrounding Rippletown and gather items washed up from across the world. He undertook the task with great diligence and soon was cruising the vast waters, collecting various items that were eagerly adopted by Rippletown's inhabitants.
In his voyages, Marino found a painted canvas, a picture book, a music box, plenty of clothing pieces, and even some gardening tools. He brought them all to Rippletown, where they found new purpose and happiness.
Once, during his voyage, Marino discovered a shiny object shimmering beneath the waves. He dived into the emerald sea and found a beautiful mirror. It wasn't an ordinary mirror; it was magic. It showed not one's reflection but their innermost desires and dreams. Overjoyed, Marino brought the magic mirror to Rippletown.
The magic mirror spread delight among the inhabitants; they found solace in unfolding their hidden wishes and unfulfilled dreams. However, Pendulum looked into the mirror and saw nothing. His heart dropped; he felt that he had no dreams or desires left.
Seeing Pendulum's despair, Marino decided to do something. He took Pendulum aboard his boat and sailed to the place where he had found the mirror. He dipped the wise king's hands into the water, making him feel the ocean's rhythm. Suddenly, Pendulum saw a shimmer - a vibrate tidal clock synchronising with his ticking.
Marino then revealed the mirror, and this time, when Pendulum looked into the damp glass, he saw his reflection synchronised with the tidal clock. He felt pure joy and a deep connection with the sea. It was then that he realised his dream was to become one with time, to create a rhythmic symphony between his ticking and the ocean's flow.
From that day onward, Pendulum found his greater purpose. He, with Marino, started predicting tides and tracking celestial bodies. They developed a nautical calendar, which guided Marino in his journeys. Their achievement resonated with Rippletown's spirit, reaffirming that there was a purpose for every forgotten thing.
Living in tranquillity and optimism, Rippletown continued to welcome forgotten things. Marino continued his voyages, and Pendulum kept the town ticking while synchronising with the sea. Together, they celebrated the joy of finding purpose, embracing their existence, and living their dreams.
