In a town by the sea, named Clifton, stood a tall and weather-beaten lighthouse known as 'The Lonely Mariner.' For centuries, the lighthouse served as a beacon, guiding lost sailors back to shore. The caretaker of the lighthouse was old Sam, a thick-bearded man with skin as weathered as the lighthouse itself. He was kind-hearted, solitude-loving, and spent his days conversing with the vast ocean or attending to the lighthouse's needs. His favourite time was twilight when he could climb up the winding stairs, watch the setting sun paint the sky in shades of orange and pink, then light up the bright beacon.
A young boy named Toby lived with his mother, a baker, in Clifton. Toby was curious, adventurous, and enchanted by the old lighthouse. He would often sit on the sandy beach, staring at 'The Lonely Mariner,' longing to unravel its mysteries.

A week later, Sam passed away peacefully in his sleep, leaving Toby to become the new lighthouse keeper. Toby, heartbroken, was determined to make Sam proud. He toiled day and night, ensuring the beacon lit up every night, a brilliant light guiding lost souls home.
