The Scholarly Faerie and The Sacred Tree

Once upon a time, in the land of Fae, situated in the high peak of Neverbleak, lived a peculiar yet endearing creature named Sara. Sara was not like the other faeries. Unlike her often frivolous and playful companions, Sara was a faerie of scholarly pursuits.
Desolation, they named her, due to her preference for solitude over the frolicking most faeries would give their wings for. Yet, she wore this apparent insult as a badge of honor. In her mind, the petals of knowledge unfolded in solitude.
Sara was known for her magical, glowing book. The book was peculiar in itself. It was a gift from her great-grandfather, the legendary Mystic Faerie. This book carried the knowledge of the ancients, carrying countless spells, secrets of the cosmos, and mysteries of time. However, it had a unique trait - it never revealed the same information twice.
One morning, Sara woke up to the whispers of the Northerly wind. A prophecy foretold millennia ago had emerged. The Sacred Tree of Lykos, the lifeline of the Fae, was dying. The worried faeries turned to Sara.
Approaching the aged and gnarled Lykos, Sara accessed her book for guidance. Curiously enough, it instructed her to find a human child with a 'pure heart'. Puzzled but determined, Sara ventured into the human world.
In the village of Elledoe, she found young Finn, a lad of no more than ten winters. He was known throughout the village for his kind heart and would often be found nursing ill animals back to health or assisting the elderly. Certain that he was 'the one', she shrunk him down to faery size and whisked him off to Neverbleak.
Back in Fae, she presented him to the Lykos. As Finn touched the tree, something magical happened. The dying tree seemed to spring back to life, blooming with restored vital force. It appeared the 'pure heart' blessed by the miracle of innocence and selfless love was the antidote which returned Lykos to its former glory.
Laughter and dance once again filled the realms of faeryland, for the Lykos had been restored and the land of Fae was once again resplendent with life and energy.
As the sun set in Neverbleak, it was time for Finn to return. Sara promised to keep watch over him for as long as he lived. Back in Elledoe, Finn woke up, believing it was but a dream, but he would always find an extra sparkle in the flowers and a sense of familiarity when the wind blew from the North, whispering tales of a land named Fae.
And so, Sara gained respect unlike before amongst her kind. She continued her scholarly pursuits, her trusty glowing book by her side, all the while keeping a protective eye over Finn's lineage. Thus, ends this tale of time, of a scholarly Faerie and her peculiar glowing book, showing us all that even in places where magic is common, the pure heart of a human child can make a difference that cannot be forgotten.
