The Ruby of Roseland

Once upon a time, in the magical kingdom of Roseland, resided a powerful yet generous King named Atticus. His daughter, Princess Eleonora, was unsurpassed in beauty and wit. The princess was enchanted by an exquisite Ruby of colossal size and vibrant color that was kept safe in the depths of the castle.
Unbeknownst to the kingdom, the Ruby possessed a powerful magic. To those pure of heart, it offered powers like no other could fathom. However, in the hands of the wicked, it could draw havoc and devastation. It was said that the true power of the Ruby would only reveal itself on a moonlit night during the onset of a solar eclipse.
One day, the neighboring kingdom's envious sorcerer, Zyran, learned about the Ruby and was blinded by its power. Zyran was well versed in dark magic and was convinced that this Ruby would enable him to rule the world. Blinded by ambition and greed, he infiltrated the castle under the disguise of an old beggar, deceiving everyone with his devilish charm.
He cunningly persuaded Princess Eleonora into believing that he was a powerful wizard who could help her probe the truths of the Ruby. Enraptured by curiosity and her innocent desire to learn, she led him to the Ruby, unaware of his malicious intent.
As the Princess unlocked the case holding the Ruby, Zyran snatched it away and revealed his true identity. But, he was unaware that the prophecy of the Ruby was true - it could only unfold its powers under particular celestial conditions. Zyran, with his arrogance soaring, ordered the Ruby to submit to him, but in vain. Angered by this, he decided to imprison Princess Eleonora, blaming her for the Ruby's supposed betrayal.
The news of the Princess's incarceration and the theft of the Ruby spread over Roseland like wildfire. King Atticus was heartbroken but far from defeat. He rallied his bravest knights and embarked on a rescue mission. The brave knights, determined to rescue their beloved princess and reclaim their precious Ruby, marched into the enemy territory.
Meanwhile, as Princess Eleanora remained trapped inside a cold, dark cell, the day of the eclipse was approaching. She overheard Zyran muttering the prophecy under his breath. Using her wit, she realized the Ruby's true potential and decided to exploit the celestial event.
On the night of the eclipse, Eleonora, using a hidden hairpin, unlocked her shackles. As the moon moved in front of the sun, a sliver of chaotic moonlight seeping through the cell window sparked the Ruby, which Zyran unknowingly left behind. The gigantic Ruby began to glimmer, and a burst of radiant light enveloped Eleonora.
The Ruby, adhering to its prophecy, recognized the purity of the Princess's heart and bequeathed her with unimaginable magic. The Princess, with her newly acquired power, managed to escape the cell and to restrain Zyran.
The knights, with King Atticus, arrived just in time to witness Princess Eleanora's majesty. With Zyran now powerless and detained, Princess Eleonora made a solemn decision. She instructed the Ruby's magic to seal Zyran's dark magic forever and to erase the kingdom's memory of the wretched sorcerer.
With the princess back and the Ruby safe again, tranquility was restored in Roseland. People sang lauds for their savior — Princess Eleonora, the Ruby princess. Since then, she was synonymously associated with the Ruby, a symbol of absolute power, purity, and justice.
From that day forward, she used the Ruby's might for the welfare of her people. Roseland flourished under her benevolence, radiating the true power of pure intentions and a selfless heart which far surpassed any magic.
