The Rise of a Warrior Queen
Once upon a time, in the kingdom of Saptaskanda, lived a young maiden named Aikya. Saptaskanda was the richest kingdom in the realm, known for its vibrant culture, beautiful landscapes and its strong fearsome army. However, the kingdom was plagued by the constant attacks of the northern barbarians, causing havoc and instability in the kingdom.
Aikya was no ordinary girl, she was the daughter of the bravest general of Saptaskanda - General Trilochan. Even at a tender age, Aikya was brave, intelligent and determined. She had inherited her father's courage and her mother's wisdom. Everyone in the kingdom admired her for her spirit and strength. But the life of a girl in the kingdom was confined to weaving, singing, and other household chores. Aikya, though she was no less in any of these tasks, had a burning desire to do more - she wanted to be a warrior.
One day, the northern barbarians attacked Saptaskanda with full might. Trilochan led his soldiers bravely, but the barbarians overpower them. Aikya watched helplessly as her father fell to the barbarians. This was a turning point in Aikya’s life. She decided to avenge her father’s death and protect her kingdom from the barbarians. But there was a challenge - in Saptaskanda, women were not allowed to be a part of the army.
Not being able to contain her desire, Aikya went to Maharaja Bhanupratap, the king of Saptaskanda. She pleaded with him to let her join the army. The king, surprised by her audacious request, dismissed her immediately. But Aikya was not the one to give up. She practiced in secret, enhancing her strength, agility, and combat skills. Days turned into weeks and weeks into months. Aikya never relented in her pursuit. She knew she had to break the traditional barriers if she were to protect her kingdom.
After a year, the barbarians attacked the kingdom once again. This time the attack was even more brutal. The Saptaskanda warriors fought bravely, but their numbers dwindled. At this critical moment, Aikya appeared on the battlefield, clad in armor, with a fierce determination in her eyes. She fought valiantly, taking down the barbarians.
The people of Saptaskanda were awestruck as they watched their delicate, beautiful Aikya fighting like the fiercest warrior they had ever seen. Word spread, and Maharaja Bhanupratap came to witness the spectacle. He was astounded by Aikya’s bravery and strength. He had no choice but to recognize her as a true warrior.
After the battle, Aikya was hailed as a hero. From that day onwards, woman in Saptaskanda were allowed to join the army and fight for their kingdom. Aikya not only freed her people from the barbarian menace but she broke the shackles of tradition, creating a paradigm shift in their society.
However, the saga of Aikya did not end there. Years later, when Maharaja Bhanupratap breathed his last without an heir, it was Aikya who was chosen by the people as their Maharani - The warrior Queen of Saptaskanda. Through her reign, the kingdom of Saptaskanda saw peace, prosperity and progress, ensuring that Aikya’s name was etched forever in the annals of the kingdom's history.
