The Prophecy of the Silent Planet
In a universe far removed from our own, there existed a silent, peaceful planet named Eyos. This world was home to beings of extraordinary intelligence named the Eydorians. The Eydorians were equipped with the ability to communicate wordlessly and clearly perceived the fabric of time. Their existence was harmonious, aside from one looming anxiety: the prophecy, orally passed down from generation to generation and replicated meticulously in their thought-transmission records.
The prophecy told of a celestial upheaval that would engulf Eyos in chaos, destroying their serene existence. The Eydorians existed with the knowledge that the tranquillity of their lives had an expiration date. They had no way of preventing the prophecy, but they had a contingency plan. Each Eydorian was gifted at birth with a 'Life Stone', possessing the ability to preserve life against the violent rage of time and space.
When the first tendrils of the celestial upheaval wound themselves around Eyos, the Eydorians activated their Life Stones. Suddenly, their once vibrant world was now still as a painting, with time frozen around them. It was not a perfect solution, but it was the only way they could endure the tempest raging around them.
The sky was ablaze with cosmic fire, but inside the time field created by the Stones, the Eydorians lived in a serene stasis, untouched by the outside chaos. Generations passed unconventionally inside the frozen timeline. The Eydorians lived out their lives until their natural end, and their children took up the mantle of preserving their civilization.
However, as centuries passed, there was a rather troubling development. The Life Stones began losing their power. Their once radiant glow was now dwindling down, like a dying ember. This unsettled the Eydorians. Their last bastion of hope seemed to be crack, bringing them face-to-face with the inevitability they had been avoiding.
This is when a young Eydorian named Elara stepped into the picture. Born with an unusually strong Life Stone, Elara bore a strong connection with the time-flow. She believed that she could channel her Life Stone's power into rejuvenating the others. Many of the forward-thinking Eydorians believed her, but many also dismissed her, afraid to put their faith on what seemed like an infantile hope.
Ignoring detractors, Elara embarked on her daring plan. Driven by her determination and extraordinary ability to manipulate the power of her Life Stone, she painstakingly nurtured the dying Stones back into life, one by one. The time-freeze held, giving the Eydorians a renewed hope.
The celestial storm still raged outside, but within, life was returning to normal. Generations of Eydorians were born, raised and passed away, all in peaceful harmony. Finally, after millennia, the upheaval extinguished, leaving Eyos scarred but still standing. The Eydorians emerged from their stasis to a new day, forever indebted to the bravery and resolve of their saviour, Elara.
The prophecy had come to pass, but so had the silence returned. Eyos, once gripped in the jaws of chaos, now existed in tranquillity. The Eydorians had learnt through this ordeal. They learned there was always hope even in the face of the most terrifying prophecy. Their world continued to flow, echoing with silent whispers of their ordeal and the beautiful calm that had returned.
A new prophecy was born, one of hope, resilience, and undying spirit, that told of their future, a future unmarred by catastrophe, a serene future signified by their beautiful, quiet planet.
