The Parable Of The Lost Diamond
In the fervent valley of Algammon, located in southeastern Asia, was a small, engaging village named Morok. It was a village renowned for its precious diamonds and gemstones found in the abundant mines. Most villagers worked in these mines and made a living out of it. However, among them, lived a humble gemstone dealer – old, yet spirited, carrying the wisdom of years and a kind heart, known to the villagers as Firoz.
Firoz had a daughter named Hana, with eyes sparkling like the rarest jewels and a laughter that could make the grimmest hearts joyful. She had inherited her father's love for gemstones and would often accompany him to mines, where she would learn about various gems and their characteristics.
One day, Firoz discovered an exceptionally large and exquisite blue diamond. He called it the 'Ocean Heart', owing to its beautiful, deep, and mysterious hue reminiscent of the ocean. He had planned to sell it in the markets of the state capital, which would fetch a great price. However, fate had a cruel twist awaiting.
One evening, while playing with the Ocean Heart, Hana misplaced it. She panicked and searched desperately, but the diamond was nowhere to be found. Distraught, she revealed her misfortune to Firoz. Instead of fury, Firoz looked at his daughter with understanding eyes. 'Do not worry, my child. Material possessions are never a measure of real wealth. The diamond is lost, but remember, the diamond was merely under our care, it belongs to the earth,' said Firoz, with a wise smile.
Even though Firoz didn't scold her, Hana was consumed with guilt. She decided to venture into the mines and locate another diamond similar to the Ocean Heart to compensate for her loss. Firoz, seeing her determination, reluctantly allowed her.
Long days turned into grueling weeks, yet Hana found no diamond. She was on the brink of giving up when one late night, she saw a faint blue shimmer inside a narrow, previously unexplored crevice. Her heart fluttered with hope. She crawled within and saw a magnificent sight – the walls of the cave were adorned with hundreds of luminescent blue diamonds reminiscent of the Ocean Heart. She had discovered an unseen, virgin part of the mine that held countless blue diamonds.
Hana carefully collected a few striking diamonds and rushed home. She showed them to Firoz, who stood stunned. He couldn't believe his eyes. Hana had not only found the diamond but had revealed a new resource that would benefit the whole village.
News spread, and the villagers rejoiced. They could now have a much better life. Hana became a local hero, remembered forever as the little girl who lost a diamond but discovered a treasure. Firoz, filled with pride and joy, hugged his daughter, whispering, 'See, my child. We lost one diamond, but we uncovered a wealth far greater. Sometimes, the loss we feel most deeply leads us down a path that holds the grandest gains. The Earth has its ways of balancing the scales.'
The villagers worked the blue diamond mine for years, achieving prosperity and comfort. They built a statue of Hana in the village center to remind everyone of her discovery and the powerful lesson of her story. Even after decades passed, her tale lived, passed from one generation to the next, transforming from a simple story to a cherished village legend.
