The Outcast and the Starlight Kingdom
Once upon a time, in a city named Regalia, existed a young outcast named Eldon. This city was no ordinary city but one so ostentatious, people were ranked based on their physical beauty. People admired Eldon for his intelligence, but his frail physique and crooked smile made him the outcast.
One day, while Eldon was reading near the city outskirts, he found an old, faded parchment titled 'The Starlight Kingdom.' The tale spoke of an alluring kingdom where only pure hearts could venture and no superficial beauty standards were upheld. Intrigued, Eldon decided to embark on a journey to find this kingdom.
Eldon packed his essentials, a bag of dried fruit, water, his favorite books, and the old parchment. His journey through the harsh wilderness was daunting. He crawled through dense bushes, crossed tumultuous rivers, and climbed tricky terrains, unyielding in his courage. With his frail physique, the journey proved a great challenge, but he compensated through cleverness, plotting his route and inventing tools to aid his path.
Finally, after weary days of travel, Eldon reached the base of a large mountain. As per the parchment, the entrance to the kingdom was atop the mountain. A series of tests laid ahead to ensure only the pure of heart could access the Starlight Kingdom.
The first test was a riddle by the old crone guarding the foothill. Eldon's love for books had nourished his intelligence, easily solving the riddle. With a stern nod, the crone allowed him to proceed.
The second test was crossing a gorge, a leap of faith. Mustering his courage, Eldon ran and leapt, and mid-air, an invisible bridge appeared beneath his feet, enabling him to cross safely.
Finally, he made it to the top to face the last test - the Mirror of Truth. The mirror was said to reflect the viewer's inner substance. The image would transform into a beast or a beauty, depending on the person's heart's purity. Eldon's reflection morphed into a majestic griffin - a symbol of wisdom and power, proving the purity of his heart.
At last, Eldon was allowed to enter the Starlight Kingdom, a place beyond words. Its inhabitants were radiant in their beauty, but it was their inner beauty that truly shone. Kindness, love, and wisdom were valued above physical appearance. He finally found a place that cherished his heart instead of criticizing his looks.
Eldon's intelligence and benevolence quickly gained admiration in the Starlight Kingdom. He spent his days sharing and gaining knowledge, at home in a kingdom that accepted him for his real virtues.
Word of Eldon's prosperity reached Regalia. The superficial city's harmony was disrupted, and they regretted their ignorant norms. In awe of Eldon's achievements, they revisited their value system and abolished the beauty ranking system. They realized true beauty lay within the heart and mind and not in physical appearance.
In the Starlight Kingdom, Eldon, once an outcast, lived a fulfilled life, loved and respected for his wisdom and pure heart. Back in Regalia, his story would be told for generations, a tale of the outcast who not only found his place but also enlightened an entire city.
