The Origin of the Lost City
Once upon a time, in an era forgotten by history, existed a city known as Elysium. This city wasn't anything ordinary, for it was known as the City of Immortals. The secrete life and events in Elysium seemed like such stuff as dreams were made on.
Elysium was invisibly situated within a concealed mountain valley, surrounded by streams of crystal clear magical waters. The City of Immortals was so named because the inhabitants never aged beyond their prime. Thanks to the mildly intoxicating Golden Apples that grew only in their mighty orchard.
Life in Elysium was one grand event, full of happiness, love, and magic. The crystonite walls of the city shone with colors that are beyond the spectrum visible to human eyes, reflecting a perpetual rainbow against the clouds. Elysians were artists, poets, and philosophers, and their celebrations were something the human world could only wish to witness.
Immortal did not necessarily mean invincible. The citizens of Elysium held one single weakness, the stone known as Celestite. Exposure to this stone would cast away their immortality, making them as susceptible to age and frailty as any mortal being.
Hiding in plain sight, the unthinkable happened. One fateful morning, Elysium awoke to the devastating sight. An enormous Celestite meteorite had crashed into their Golden Apple orchard, causing the immortality-granting fruits to perish. Panic struck the immortal beings, their one source of perpetuity was lost, it was an unprecedented crisis.
Their majestic Queen Seraphina, a divine leader who had successfully kept Elysium under her just and compassionate rule, stood before the horrified crowd. It was their darkest hour, but she didn't let their spirits wane. She vowed to travel far beyond the mountains and find a new home where the Golden Apples could flourish again.
With love for her people filling her brave heart, Seraphina ventured into the mortal world. The journey was grueling, filled with challenges she had never faced before, but nothing deterred her. Time passed, years into decades, turning into centuries, Queen Seraphina walked the earth, searching for a new location.
Meanwhile, in Elysium, an immoral man craving power, Vulcan, had managed to overthrow the royal guard and made himself King. He was a greedy man, seeking to preserve his immortality while others aged and withered. But Queen Seraphina’s loyal companion bird, Amarina, had managed to escape Elysium and found her way to Queen Seraphina.
She conveyed to Seraphina everything that had transpired in her absence. Distressed but determined, Seraphina expedited her quest, and finally, her endeavors bore fruit. In the last place anyone would have looked, an underwater volcanic trench, she discovered the existence of an orchard of Golden Apples.
With the help of Amarina and the sea creatures, Seraphina managed to transport the Golden Apples back to Elysium. However, the city was now under the tyrant's rule. Taking the guise of an ordinary old woman, she infiltrated the city, ousted Vulcan and his supporters, and restored peace and youth to her people once again.
Queen Seraphina's reign was celebrated as the Golden Era in Elysian history. The tale of their undying queen who gave up her immortality, single-handedly faced numerous trials and hardships just to preserve the life of her loved ones, was sung as a great ballad.
But alas! This city is lost to us now. While Queen Seraphina brought life back to Elysium, the existence of the city remained a secret. Today, Elysium has become a legend, a fable recited across generations, resting somewhere between myth and history, waiting for its rediscovery.
Thus, ends the story of Elysium, the Lost City of Immortals. It's a story of courage, determination, and devotion, reminding us that true leaders don't rule; they serve, no matter the personal cost.
