The Night of The Unseen Heart
Once upon a time, in the moss-dusted kingdom of Eyvindr, nestled between two majestic mountains, lived a princess named Seydis. By day, Seydis was a formidable ruler, her wits sharper than any sword. But by the moons' silver shine, she was an unrivaled warrior, protecting her realm from rogue goblins and stray dragons while the populace slept in peace.
Seydis had a unique ability. She could speak with animals. From the lowly snail to the monstrous dragons, they all bent their ear to her soft whispers. She had used her talent, garnered trust, and built alliances with various animal clans, creating an unperceivable yet strong defense layer around Eyvindr.
However, as the 21st harvest season drew near - a time of nationwide celebration in Eyvindr - the kingdom's joy was stifled by a prophecy from Madam Freya, the blind soothsayer. A divine darkness would descend upon their land at night on festival day; the only one capable of vanquishing it was a 'Heart Unseen.'
The prophecy bewildered everyone. Seydis, too, surged with troubled thoughts, fearing for her people's safety. However, ' The Heart Unseen' swam around her thoughts. She spent days and nights dwelling on the riddle, seeking answers.
While pondering deep in the forest, a faint ebb reached her ears. She traced the noise back to its source and found a trapped wolf pup. His leg was ensnared in a poacher's trap and squirmed in pain. Instinctively, Seydis hurried to free the pup, and with gentle whispers calmed the terrified creature. Despite the pain, the wolf pup extended his trust to Seydis, affirming her realization - 'The Heart Unseen' is not an object but the unseen compassion within one's heart.
Revitalized, Seydis prepared for the impending calamity. On the festival night, as joyous cheers echoed across Eyvindr, the prophesied darkness came descending. An enormous cloud shooting streams of black fire, converting everything it touched into ash.
As the kingdom spiraled into chaos, Princess Seydis stood firm, her heart beating with an unseen compassion. With a voice that echoed through the stormy night, she called out to her animal allies. From every corner, they came: bears, wolves, eagles, and even the legendary dragon, Awyr, materialized by her side.
With the dragon leading the sky-attack and the rest charging on the ground, a battle commenced. Seydis, too, stood her ground, casting protective spells, mending the wounded, rallying the troops. Her indomitable spirit and unyielding compassion fueled their courage, and gradually, they drove the divine darkness back.
When the first sunray hit Eyvindr's mountaintops, the darkness evaporated into nothingness. Eyvindr was safe. The prophecy had been conquered. Seydis had protected her kingdom, not with power and might but with her heart, her unseen compassion.
In the aftermath, Seydis, surrounded by her allies, gazed upon her kingdom; the citizens cheered her sincerely, their appreciation echoing the sentiment of every animal present. A ruler by day and a warrior by night, she was indeed their savior. However, victory was not hers alone, but that of the compassion that resided in her heart. An unseen heart, powerful enough to save a kingdom.
So, in the annals of Eyvindr's history, they chronicled the celebration of the 21st Harvest Season as the 'Night of the Unseen Heart'. Henceforth, every annual harvest festival bore testimony to their savior Princess and the heart unseen - the pinnacle of trust, camaraderie, and compassion.
