The Melody of the Mute Crow
Once upon a time, in the heart of the magical forest of Glyndor, there existed a variety of extraordinary creatures, all possessing a unique magic of their own. However, the most venerating creature, was a feather-black crow named Carlos. Carlos differed from the other bewitching creatures in one particular way; he was born mute.
Every day, Carlos watched in silent envy as the forest echoed with harmonies of other creatures. Melodious notes draped in the enchanting magic, a symphony that he could only behold. Juan, a nightingale who lived on the same ancient oak tree, noticed Carlos’s struggle and proposed teaching him to express through a different kind of music, by dancing.
He started teaching Carlos to express his silence using the rustling leaves as his stage. Carlos, despite having no expectations, decided to learn. Days became weeks, weeks became months, and before they knew it, the seasons had changed, and so had Carlos. From a bird yearning to be a part of the forest’s melodies, Carlos had become a mute crow who talked through his riveting dance.
News spread in Glyndor, and creatures flew from far and wide to witness Carlos's performances. Even the ancient oak tree, which had stood silent through all the ages, hummed in applause as Carlos performed.
During one such evening, the Great Gryphon, a mythical creature with a lion's body, eagle's wings, and head, came to Glyndor to see Carlos. The Gryphon carried a myth that he held a magic with him that can cure any creature. Over time, creatures had forgotten about it as it seemed too good to be true.
At the end of his performance, as Carlos bowed, the Gryphon hopped onto the stage. To everyone's surprise, the Great Gryphon humbly bowed and gifted Carlos a shimmering blue feather. It was the legendary Gryphon's Feather that held his magic.
Carlos held the feather in his beak, and the audience watched in anticipation. In an instant, a magical stream enveloped Carlos. As quietness descended, everyone waited for a miracle. Carlos opened his beak, and for the first time, a crow’s melody echoed in Glyndor.
It was a sound unlike any other, a melody sewn with the threads of silence and struggle. The mute Crow was no longer mute. Yet, instead of basking in delight, a puzzling silence occupied him. He then turned to Juan and handed him the magical feather.
With a heavy heart, Carlos explained, 'Being mute made me different, but it also made me who I am. The dance I beheld in my heart, it brought me closer to all of you. My silence is not my weakness, but my strength. I want to keep it that way.'
Moved by his words, Juan didn't argue. As Carlos returned the feather, the forest gathered to see him perform again, not with the voice, but with his dance. The mute Crow danced with his heart out, rejoicing his true magic. To everyone's surprise, with each move, he created his new melody, through his dance, composing a symphony that echoed beyond Glyndor.
The world remembered Carlos, not as the crow who failed to sing, but the one who danced to his own music celebrating his differences.
