The man in the mirror

Once upon a time in the land of Argenport, there was a young boy named Liam. He was an ordinary boy, living a normal life filled with school, chores and friends. The only unusual thing about him was that he was born with silver hair, a trait that was only prevalent in the royal family. Unbeknownst to him, this would lead him to a destiny far removed from the norm.
One day, as he was helping his mother clean out the attic, he found an antique mirror. It wasn't anything fancy, just a regular looking mirror, but what caught Liam's eye was the way the light shone on it. No matter how much dust it collected or how the lighting in the room shifted, the mirror reflected the light with the same intensity and brightness. It was as if it possessed a charm of its own, drawing Liam towards it.
He wiped it clean and looked at his reflection. To his surprise, the boy in the mirror didn’t just copy his actions, but also seemed to possess a life of its own. Initially, Liam was terrified. However, curiosity got the better of him, and he began engaging with his mirror-self.
Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. His fear turned into fascination as he started to converse with the person in the mirror, learning about another world that existed parallel to his own. The boy in the mirror was named Orion, a prince from a different kingdom facing a similar destiny. Orion, unlike Liam, was born into royalty, but longed for an ordinary life.
Meanwhile, back in Liam's world, Argenport was in trouble. The silver-haired lineage of royals had ended, leaving the kingdom without an heir. The kingdom was slowly falling into chaos, with many trying to claim the throne but none succeeding. Society was starting to crumble, and people started losing hope.
One day, a prophecy was discovered by the kingdom's wise wizards. It told of a silver-haired boy born to common parents who would rise to claim the throne and bring harmony back to Argenport. When the word reached the townspeople, they began searching for the said boy. But, to their dismay, they couldn't find anyone matching the description.
Back at Liam's house, after learning about Orion's noble birth and longing for a common life, the boys struck a deal. They would switch lives. Liam would live as Prince Orion and bring peace and harmony to Argenport, whereas Orion would enjoy the freedom of a commoner as Liam. With a simple handshake reflected in the mirror, their bodies switched places, and they began their new lives.
In Argenport, Liam trained hard to become the king everyone hoped he would be. He learned about geography, politics, and laws. The wizards were astonished at his dedication and maturation. Before long, he was handling the kingdom's administrative tasks, bringing reforms, and creating harmony among the greedy nobles.
Meanwhile, Orion, in Liam's world, was enjoying his newfound freedom. He loved the liberty to do as he pleased without being surrounded by soldiers or feared by people. Slowly, he began appreciating the simplicity of common life and understood its immense value.
Years passed, and the day came when Liam was officially crowned the King of Argenport. True to the prophecy, he had saved the kingdom from chaos and turned it into a sanctuary of peace and prosperity. But the day of glory was double-edged; it meant bidding goodbye to Orion, who decided to stay back in Liam's world, living an ordinary life.
This tale of a common boy turned king and a prince turned commoner became a legend in Argenport. Yet, beyond the heroics and sacrifices, it was their friendship that became the heart of their story. Ignoring the barriers of different worlds, they found each other in the face of adversity and rose above expectations to discover their true selves in the process.
