The Lost Glacier
Once upon a time, in the serene kingdom of Recidia, it was believed that the heart of the kingdom was a colossal Glacier, the Recidian glacier. The glacier, so magnificent and powerful, was not just a mammoth mountain of ice but signified the sheer will and perseverance embodying the spirit of the kingdom.
Centuries ago, the kingdom was captive under a tyrannical king, Korrelian the Cruel, who exhibited ruthless power, forcing hunger, poverty, and despair upon his subjects. However, within this despondency, grew the flame of rebellion, a common blacksmith named Eldinaar.
Eldinaar had two precious belongings: his adamant belief in equality and his trusted sled-dog, Irys. Together, they sparked rebellion. The plight of Eldinaar's fellow Recidians wasn't concealed from Irys, and she too shared Eldinaar's dream of a free Recidia.
The hero and his faithful canine decided to confront the blizzard of cruelty with the fire of revolution. They mustered their strength and embarked on a journey to the Haunted Valleys of Korres, where an ancient prophecy told of the Astral Crystal. Legend said it had the power to break the chains of suppression and usher in an era of peace and prosperity. It was this journey that would later forge Eldinaar, the blacksmith, into a hero and symbol of hope for Recidians.
Arduous was their venture, but their resolve was steadfast. They crossed surging rivers, treacherous cliffs, and finally arrived at the espoused cave of the Astral Crystal. Withstood by brutal winds at the entrance, their conviction endured, and they ventured further with hope fuelling their hearts. In the deepest part of the cave sparkled the Astral Crystal, its light piercing through the darkness. Elated, Eldinaar seized the Crystal and Irys, sensing victorious joy, howled a cry that echoed throughout the kingdom.
In Recidia, as the howl reverberated, optimism started to infuse the air. Holding the Crystal, Eldinaar commanded, 'End this tyranny!' Suddenly, the cave trembled, the Crystal shone blindingly bright, and a surge of energy radiated throughout the kingdom, reaching directly to the palace of the despot king. End it did, the tyranny of Korrelian, turning him into stone, liberating the kingdom.
Eldinaar triumphantly returned to Recidia, hailed as a savior. The common blacksmith was no longer just Eldinaar; he became the Guardian of Recidia. It is said that Eldinaar, with Irys by his side, cast the Astral Crystal into Recidian glacier, endowing it with its tremendous power and ensuring the kingdom's perpetual freedom.
Today, the giant mass of glacier embedded with the Astral Crystal stands tall in Remembrance Square. However, unanticipated calamity struck Recidia when the Glacier disappeared overnight. The heart of the kingdom was lost, and so was the spirit of its people.
The kingdom is once again sighing under despair, folding under its own weight. It needs a new Eldinaar, a new savior who will find the lost heart of the kingdom and restore the hope in the eyes of Recidians once more. The tale is yet to see another chapter, one of rebirth and regeneration, as life in Recidia hangs in the balance, waiting for its Lost Glacier to return.
But as it is said in the kingdom,' Where there is courage, there is hope,' perhaps one day, the hope shall resurface, and the lost shall be found.
