The Lost Drifter in the Sands of Time

Our story revolves around a character not bound by the constraints of the average man, a wanderer across time - Zephyr Crane. An archaeologist by profession, his life took a monumental twist due to an ancient artifact named the ChronoAmulet. Because of this, rather than excavating history, he became a witness of history.
The chronicles of the famous city of Atlantis had been Zephyr's passion his entire life. On one of his archaeological expeditions, he unearthed a relic — the ChronoAmulet . The inscriptions on the artifact mentioned that it had the power to traverse time. Skeptical yet thrilled, Zephyr wore the amulet around his neck. Nothing happened at first, however, when he accidentally spilled some of his tea on it, the amulet sprung into action, engulfing him in a dazzling, blinding, white light.
When he opened his eyes, he found himself in an age where Atlantis was a glorious city basking in its zenith. The soaring, golden towers, lush green parks, and the harmonious sound of crystal-clear water, it was a vivid sight indeed. He was in awe, fascinated, and dumbstruck to witness the very ethos he had he analyzed and studied for years. However, Zephyr's instinct of an archaeologist kicked in, and he started documenting everything he observed in his leather-bound diary.
Zephyr built a life in Atlantis, learning their language, their culture. He even made friends, despite them being unaware that he was a drifter, not from another city, but another time. However, he soon realized that all was not as golden as the city suggested. Beneath the surface shimmered treachery and avarice. The king of Atlantis had become an oppressive ruler, and his tyranny had spread acute suffering among the people.
One night, a band of rebel Atlanteans, led by a charismatic woman named Lyra, approached Zephyr. They had seen him documenting and asked him to join their rebellion. Zephyr saw their desperation and agreed. With Zephyr's knowledge of the future and Lyra's leadership, they hatched a plan to overthrow the king.
The rebellion was a success, and the king was overthrown. The once oppressive city was now beaming with reverberating laughter and hope. Amidst the celebrations, tragedy struck again. Zephyr had lost his amulet. In search of it, he got separated from the jubilant crowd and tumbled down a secret passage in the palace.
The passage led him to an intricate mural depicting a prophecy, 'the city of gold will sink when the sands of time are disturbed.' He had inadvertently disturbed the time. The prophecy was about him! A sudden terror gripped him, and he realized that his actions in the past could potentially change history. Regretting his curiosity, Zephyr decided that he should return. He rushed back to the palace and found the ChronoAmulet at the place where the king was overthrown.
As he held the amulet in his hand, he could feel the ground shaking. He glanced at Lyra, the friends he had made, and he closed his eyes tightly, clutching the amulet. He found himself again engulfed in the same white light of time travel. Opening his eyes in his time, Zephyr felt an overwhelming relief infused with poignant sadness.
He returned a different man, a man who had tasted the wine of yesterday, who had danced with time, who had witnessed Atlantis in all its glory. Though millions know Zephyr for his studies and discoveries, the surreal time-traveling tale of the lost drifter in the sands of time remained something he could only cherish in his heart and the worn-out pages of his leather-bound diary.
