The Lost City Under the Sea
In a time when the world was still one large continent, ocean as vast and mysterious as the universe separated the masses. The stories of sailors about their encounters with unseen creatures and cities laying underneath the deep blue sea were not unusual. Among those tales was the story of the 'Lost City Under the Sea.'
On the western side of the continent, there was a small bustling coastal town called Azura. Its residents were known for their bravery and adventurous spirit on the sea. This reputation came from their forefathers, who were among the first to explore the vast ocean and returned with riches beyond imagination from undiscovered islands. However, there was a legend from their ancestors that a vast city of unimaginable riches and knowledge laid beneath the ocean, and whoever found it would rule the world. They named it 'Solara.'
As generations passed, the legend of Solara was ingrained in the hearts of Azurians. However, it remained only a legend, until a young fisherman named Elyan dared to find the truth. Elyan's life was consumed by the sea, and the tales his grandfather told him about Solara captivated his mind. Thus, he decided to find the city himself.
Elyan gathered a crew of the bravest men in Azura. His closest friend and skilled navigator, Theo, was his right hand. The team spent days preparing for the voyage -outfitting the ship with enough provisions and studying the tales and maps left by their ancestors.
The day of departure finally arrived. The entire village of Azura came to bid them farewell, their hearts filled with a mix of apprehension and excitement. The sail was set, and the ship moved towards the horizon. Every passing day on the never-ending sea tested their endurance and faith. However, they were brave and experienced sailors, equipped to face the toughest challenges.
One night, a strong storm hit their ship. Fear struck their hearts, but they held on, manoeuvring their vessel through the monstrous waves. When dawn broke, they found themselves surrounded by a strange fog, and their compass started spinning wildly. Navigating through the murk, they suddenly sighted a huge whirlpool right ahead. With no escape, their ship was pulled towards the center.
They braced for the end, but instead of crashing, they were suddenly surrounded by a blinding light. As their vision cleared, they saw an unbelievable sight. An enormous, brilliant city flourished under the sea. Lost in awe, they watched structures of gold and silver, adorned with precious gems. People in dazzling garments moved about the streets, their bodies emitting a faint glow. It was Solara, the lost city under the sea.
With a warm welcome, the Solarian king explained that their ancestors had chosen to live beneath the sea, harnessing its power while protecting their wealth and knowledge from evil. The storm and whirlpool were protective barriers, allowing only the worthy to enter. They were allowed to return to the surface with only one condition - the existence of Solara must remain a secret to protect it from misuse.
Elyan and his crew returned to Azura, carrying with them incredible tales and some gifts from the King, but no treasure. They remained true to their word, and the story of Azura's adventures became another fantastic tale whispered among the Azurians of Elyan's voyage and the flaming heart that granted them the bravery to dare the unknown.
The story of Elyan and his brave crew continues to inspire the people of Azura till today. The tale of a city under the sea remains a legend, and the spirit of adventure never faded from the heart of this small coastal town.
