The Lost City of Rubia

Once upon a time, in a realm not far from our own, existed a magnificent city named Rubia. It was famed for its immense crimson structures, glimmering rivers, and streets bustling with joyous inhabitants. The city was enveloped in tranquility and prosperity.
Our story revolves around an erudite scholar named Eragon hailing from a neighboring city. Despite living in luxurious surroundings, there existed only one desire in his heart – to unravel the mystery of the lost city, Rubia, a city known in countless tales yet lost in the annals of time.
Eragon embarked on his journey towards the unknown, leaving behind his lavish lifestyle and stable job. His only possession was a half-torn map he had found lodged inside an elusive tome in his city library. Labelling Rubia as his north star, Eragon was undeterred by the grip of unchartered territories or the claws of dangerous beasts.
Venturing across mountains, dangerous jungles, and treacherous seas, Eragon’s journey was far from easy. He faced endless trials – surviving bitter cold, scorching heat, and ghostly silence in deserted landscapes – but nothing dampened his spirit.
Unexpectedly, during one of his sojourns, Eragon stumbled upon an ancient tribe named 'Asithians'. Legendary for their wisdom, the Asithians welcomed Eragon warmly. Anxious to learn more about Rubia, Eragon revealed his quest. The tribe's elder, a frail old man with sparkling eyes, enlightened Eragon about an age-old prophecy. It was said that only a person whose heart reflects true courage and pure intentions could reveal the path leading to Rubia.
Encouraged, Eragon rallied on with increased determination. Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months. In this plateau of uncertainty, Eragon’s faith was his propelling force.
One evening, after a day of languished searching, Eragon found himself standing on top of a barren hill. The fading sunlight illuminated an obscure carving on the ground – a symbol identical to the one found on his map. His heart pounded as he comprehended the significance of his discovery. This was it. The path to Rubia.
Lacking cogency of what lay ahead, Eragon stepped forward. The earth rumbled beneath his feet, and a staircase emerged from the ground, leading into the obscure depth. Gathering his courage, he descended.
Myriad torches illuminated an intricate maze within the underbelly of the earth. Eragon navigated through the twists and turns, guided by his intuition until confronted by a colossal door. He reached for its handle, whispering the words he learned from the Asithians.
The door creaked open, revealing a breath-taking sight; it was Rubia, untouched and bathed in celestial light. Its red stone structures shimmered, rivers danced, and the air buzzed with enchanting melodies. Even though deserted, it was thriving with an unexplainable vitality.
Eragon walked the silent streets of Rubia, exploring every nook and cranny. Every stone narrated its own forgotten chronicles. The city was a living testament of the past, waiting for its tales to be told again. Eragon decided to dedicate the rest of his life to studying Rubia, recording its history, and finally making the 'lost city’ the found gem of his world.
Eragon's explorations filled countless books, spreading Rubia's stories across cities. Travellers, historians, and explorers flocked to see the discovered city. The once-lost city of Rubia was now alive, reviving its past and embracing its future.
And so, our tale ends here. A tale of a brave scholar, a lost city, and an adventure that redefined the concept of discovery. A brave heart is indeed a beacon of light, capable of revealing pathways where none suspected.
