The Lost City of Pallainea

Many many years ago nestled within the verdant valleys and rolling hills of a kingdom named Eldorando, was a city that thrummed with magic, the legendary city of Pallainea. An opulent city known for its immense wisdom, craftsmanship, and mystic charm that gleamed with sapphire and belched smoke of violet. The people of Pallainea held a sacred secret, the famed Elixir of Life that could renew existence and cure all ailments. However, not everyone was privileged to access this cure.
Gaining the elixir was a challenging task. It was hidden within a labyrinth beneath the royal palace of Pallainea, accessible only to the people with pure hearts and altruistic intentions. Many from across kingdoms ventured into the labyrinth to get their hands on it, however, all in vain. The impurity of intentions and selfish desires led them to their grim fate.
Once, a common man named Hadrian, from the outskirts of Eldorando, received news about his bedridden mother falling into a deep state of unconsciousness. The physicians couldn't diagnose the prevailing ailment, so they suggested seeking help from the Elixir of Life. Driven by desperate times, Hadrian decided to embark on a journey to Pallainea.
He was a man of unfaltering determination and an iron-clad will to never give up even during the harshest times. Braving the tumultuous weather and treacherous terrains, after ten arduous days, he had finally reached Pallainea. His heart pounding with anxiety and hope, Hadrian approached the royal palace and after sharing his desperate situation as well as his purity of intent, was granted access to the labyrinth.
The labyrinth was an enigma of its own, with whispers fluttering in the air and serpentine routes leading to nothingness. Running frantically through the web of the labyrinth, Hadrian was met with numerous illusions orchestrated by the city's magic to test the wayfarer's heart.
He was shown illusions of golden treasures, luxurious manors, and an easy way out, but he remained unfazed and untempted. His mind was consumed with a single thought, his ailing mother. He had to cure her.
Hours turned into days, and still, Hadrian did not give up. His resilience struck a chord with the mystical entity guarding the elixir. It decided to bestow upon him a special amulet, the 'RIverglass', which according to ancient lore, could guide one through the darkest paths.
Guided by the light of the Riverglass, Hadrian finally found the Elixir of Life. He had conquered the labyrinth, not by his physical strength but the strength of his pure intentions and will. Journeying back home, he administered the elixir to his mother who instantly regained her consciousness and vitality.
Hadrian's tale spread across Eldorando, inspiring the hearts of many. His journey was a living testament to his pure love, unwavering faith, and a beacon of hope. From then onwards, he was known as Hadrian the Fierce heart, a commoner who embarked on an impossible journey and succeeded because of his purity of intent and love for his mother.
The city of Pallainea, however, was swallowed by an unrecorded catastrophe, sinking into the earth, its existence slowly forgotten, becoming nothing more than a myth. Despite this, the legacy of the city and Hadrian's tale lived on, passed down from one generation to another. Even after centuries, the people of Eldorando continue to talk about the magical City of Pallainea and the man who put his heart over temptation to save his mother's life.
