The Lost City of Blue

Once upon a time, in the remote heartlands of the Arghen Mountains, there was a magical city known as Azurea, often referred to as the 'Lost City of Blue'. The city was legendary and known by its mesmerizing blue stone structures that, during the day, shimmered magnificently in the sun and at night, absorbed the silvery moonlight leaving a captivating glow.
Azurea was built 5000 years ago, by the first humans who had the ability to communicate with the divine. The rulers, known as The Blue Seers, used Sapphire, a magical blue stone with divine energy, to build their city. The Sapphire gave the seers immense power and wisdom, allowing them to rule Azurea justly.
For centuries, Azurea prospered. Gardens bloomed with exotic flora not seen anywhere else. Golden crops flourished in the fields, and the sound of laughter echoing from the city was like music to the mountains.
However, it wasn’t long before Azurea’s prosperity attracted the gaze of greed from far and wide. The famous Sapphire stones became desired by conquerors who craved the power and knowledge they had heard the stones possessed. The mountain that protected the city also hid it, and the legend turned into whispers, whispers into tales and tales into myth.
One day, a ferocious conqueror, King Visery sought to control Azurea, drawn by the lure of the Sapphire's power. He invaded the city. However, the Sapphire's power couldn't fall in to wrong hands. The last Blue Seer, Seraphina, with sorrow-filled eyes, invoked the Sapphire's power one last time. Azurea and all its glory vanished before King Visery could lay his hands upon it.
In its wake, only a giant blue lake was left behind - an echo of the city’s grandeur and the Sapphire's vast energy. The invading army stood agape, their greed drowned in the tranquil blue expanse that lay before them. King Visery's dreams of power fell starkly into the abyss of lost ambitions. Azurea was no more, but it was not conquered.
From then on, Azurea existed only in the whispers of the wind, the melancholy note of the owl, and the lonesome resonance of the mountains. Despite efforts by explorers, its location was never discovered. The City of Blue had retracted itself wholly, magic and all, protecting humanity from its own greed. It was remembered only as a tale told to children as a reminder of the destructive power of greed and the importance of safeguarding the magical and the sacred.
In the living world, Azurea turned into a myth, its reality dissolved in the pages of history, waiting for a time when men's hearts will be purged of domination and greed, where wonder, respect, and love for all creation would govern their desires. Only then, the whispers said, Azurea would reappear and the tale of 'Lost City of Blue' would regain its reality, reclaiming its place in the world. The heartbroken King Visery died remembering Azurea, having lost it even before he could discover it. Such was the wisdom of Sapphire, and such was the fate of the Lost City of Blue.
As the blue stone shimmered under the light of the full moon, its hypnotic glow seemed to whisper unto the mountain ranges that kept its secret, an ancient promise of a splendid city, a promise that Azurea would return when the world was ready.
