The Lost City of Aiolos

There was a time, many thousands of years ago, when the world was young and wild, filled with magic people could only dream of now. The story begins in the prosperous kingdom of Aiolos, unknown to present-day archaeologists and historians, a city that thrived on its people, culture, and advancement in technology and magic.
The ruler of Aiolos, King Eros, was wise, courageous, and compassionate. His queen, Hera, was regal, elegant and shared the same passion for the well-being of their people. Together, they ruled Aiolos, and under their reign, the city reached new heights in every sphere of life that could be conceived. Progress was not only in technology and magic but also in arts, philosophy, and civic understanding. The harmony between nature and advancements was beautifully balanced.
Enter, Venator, a vile sorcerer and greedy man, banished from Aiolos a long time ago owing to his destructive intentions. Banishment didn't extinguish his mighty ambitions but instead, fanned the flames. He held a grave grudge against King Eros for his banishment, and it consumed him so much that he lived each day plotting revenge against the city.
Venator was gifted, or rather, cursed, with a powerful ruby named 'Rubrum Nefas', which translated to the 'Red Sin'. The gem was powerful enough to cause the downfall of any prosperous land if used with malicious intent. It fed off anger, revenge, and hatred - the very emotions that fueled Venator.
On a day where the celestial bodies aligned in the ancient skies, marking the dawn of a new era, Venator saw his opportunity. He held the gem high, uttering an ancient curse under the carpet of the star-lit sky. His voice echoed through the valleys, reaching Aiolos.
Eventide and darkness befell Aiolos abruptly as the gem's energy engulfed the city. The city gates creaked and shut, the once radiant Aiolos turned into a ghost. People rushed to their homes, praying. The king and queen watched in horror as their prosperous city crumbled under a mysterious force.
Queen Hera, who was gifted in white magic, knew the severity of the curse. She understood that in order to protect the city and its people from further destruction, she must ensure Aiolos remain undetected. And so, she decided to cast a mighty spell, hiding it from the outer world forever. She whispered her own incantation, and in a burst of white light, the city disappeared, hidden within the walls of time.
Meanwhile, Venator, upon seeing his achievement, gloated over his victory against the King. But his triumph was cut short when he realized that Aiolos had not been destroyed, but disappeared. Enraged, he looked into the ruby for answers but found that it had lost its luster. His destructive wrath had been outsmarted by Queen Hera's protective love.
Much of what happened to Venator afterwards remains a mystery, but it is said that his blind lust for revenge led to his ruin, swallowed up by the 'Red Sin'. As for Aiolos, it remains hidden awaiting the dawn of its rebirth.
The tale remains a testament to the concept that love and protection triumph over revenge, hate, and destruction. It teaches us about the intricate balance of new beginnings and devastating endings, light and darkness, peace, and chaos, in the world we live in.
