The Little Moon’s Wish

Once upon a time, at the far end of the Milky Way, there was a small planet named Arcadia. The residents of Arcadia were unique, tiny green creatures known as 'Luminaries.' They had the gift of luminescence, and their hearts shone brighter than the stars around.
However, the brightest Arcadia glowing from its core was its moon, Lunella. Lunella was special and the only moon of Arcadia. She was magnetic and cherished by all on Arcadia as she provided an ethereal glow to the lives of the people. In turn, Lunella loved the Luminaries immensely too.
Yet, the young moon desired something much bigger. Her dream was to sparkle as gloriously as the stars she admired in the far-off galaxies, so she could bring more light and joy to her beloved Arcadia and its Luminaries. She spent sleepless nights thinking about the ways she could become a star.
One day, she decided to seek guidance from the wise old star residing in the farthest corner of the Milky Way. His name was Polaris, the North star, known for his wisdom throughout the galaxies. Lunella went to Polaris, narrated her wish, and asked him how she could become a star like him.
Polaris listened attentively, and after a thoughtful pause, he said, 'Lunella, it’s your purpose that determines your identity, not your origin. It’s not just about gleaming. It's the light that you shed for others, guiding them through their darkness. You’re already a star in your own sphere, lighting up your planet, Arcadia. Embrace your uniqueness and cherish the role you're playing.'
However, listening to Polaris, Lunella felt disheartened. She returned to Arcadia, her heart heavy with disappointment. Regardless, she continued to shine for her planet, spreading the glow of her love all around.
Time passed, and one dreadful day, cosmic clouds started covering Arcadia. They engulfed the planet and cut off all the light, plunging it into inescapable darkness. The Luminaries were terrified as they had never seen such blackness before.
Amidst the profound darkness, Lunella noticed her light reflecting against the cosmic clouds. This gave her an idea: she started glowing with all her might, even though it was difficult. Gradually, her luminosity augmented, and returned light back to Arcadia. It began breaking through the cosmic clouds, eventually dispelling them.
The immense darkness unveiled a bright Arcadia, leaving everyone amazed. They witnessed Lunella, glowing brighter than any star they had ever seen. The sight was mesmerizing. She had not just lit up their lives but gave them hope, warmth, and the courage to face adversities.
The Luminaries cheered her, chanting 'Lunella, our guiding star.' At that moment, Lunella realized what Polaris had meant. She did not need to be a star; she was a moon who had shone brighter than a star for her people. At that moment, Lunella found her purpose and embraced her identity.
From that day forth, Lunella shone with more vigor, embracing her role and uniqueness. And thus, Lunella, once a moon whom everyone adored, became a moon who held the title of a guiding star. The story of Lunella's courage echoed in the corridors of the Milky Way forever, inspiring everyone who heard it.
