The Light of Eloria
Once, millennia ago, in a kingdom named Eloria, before civilization had reached its peak, a spectral light was said to have the power to grant one wish. This light was no ordinary phenomena; it was the very spirit of the Universe, taking shape in the form of an ethereal flame.
The Kingdom of Eloria, located at the heart of the world, was a tranquil place adorned with blooming landscapes, vast rivers, towering mountains, and woodland filled with creatures of all kinds. The inhabitants were a cheerful bunch, working hard by day, and singing songs of joy and warmth at night. Their king, a man of justice named Tharion, was a benevolent leader who loved his people and treated them with the same respect he held for the gods.
For centuries, the story of the Light had been passed down through generations as a legend. However, King Tharion, being a man of reason, didn't pay heed to the tale. Until one day, a wizened old traveller arrived at the royal court, claiming to have seen the Light. Having travelled extensively, the old man described not only the spectral radiance but also its formidable power to grant a wish. Intrigued, King Tharion decided to set sail on the greatest adventure of his life – to find the mystical Light of Eloria.
Tharion assembled a band of his bravest knights, filled a ship with enough provisions, and set sail, guided by the aged traveller's ways. They sailed through stormy seas and calm waters, through the ice blankets of the North and the scorching heat of the South. After overcoming numerous challenges and fighting off mythical sea creatures, they finally reached the mystical waters where the Light was said to appear.
As predicted by the old man, on the fifteenth night of their arrival, under the luminescent glow of the full moon, an elegant flame appeared, floating on the water surface. The dazzling spectacle was indeed the Light. It beckoned Tharion towards itself. Nervously, he approached the flame, with a heart full of hope, and he made his wish. The request was not for treasure, power, or immortality, but for the prosperity and wellbeing of Eloria and its people.
Strangely, the flame didn't immediately disappear after granting his wish, like the legend said it would. Instead, it emanated a blinding light which engulfed the entire kingdom, visible to the people of Eloria. The Light's warmth healed the sick, irrigated arid lands, produced bountiful harvests, and brought an unprecedented era of peace and prosperity. The people rejoiced and praised their King. But Tharion felt a sudden burden.
In the days that followed, the King grew weaker. His life was slowly depleting. The old traveller had mentioned this curse on the wish-maker as a part of the legend. Tharion, with his dying breath, gathered his people and said, 'Every wish has a price. I have paid mine. Continue to live in peace and remember, true power lies in unity, kindness, and the spirit of Eloria.'
Since then and forever more, Elorian men and women passed down the story of their King's sacrifice. The tale serves as a memory of the King's love and his commitment to his people. The people continue to live in an unbroken era of peace, prosperity, and unity, just as Tharion had wished.
