The Light of Ashrya
Long ago, nestled deep within the verdant valleys of the Socoria Lands, lay a humble village known as Priggoville. In this somewhat dull but amiable place, lived an extraordinarily bright girl named Ashrya. Spunky and compassionate, at just 15, Ashrya seemed to have more wisdom than most elder council members. Ever since an eerie glow had appeared in her eyes shortly after her birth, the villagers claimed she was 'Touched by the Gods.'
Separated from the regal kingdom of Mingleton by the dangerous Socoria Forest, the Prigo villagers were reliant on traveling merchants and the odd visitor for news of the outer lands. The quiet life however displeased Ashrya, she longed for adventure, to bravely traverse the land beyond her village.
One sunny morning, as the villagers embarked on their daily pursuits, alarming news arrived. Rovin, a wandering minstrel jaunted into the village square exclaiming, 'The kingdom of Mingleton has fallen into darkness! King Lioric is critically ill and a curse has spread across the land, turning day into never-ending night!' There was chaos in Priggoville, but amidst the pandemonium, Ashrya saw an opportunity for the adventure she so ardently wished for.
Her blue eyes glowing vibrantly, Ashrya announced, 'I must travel to Mingleton to break this curse.' Her decision sent a wave of shock and worry among the villagers, but seeing her sparkling determination, they conceded to her wishes.
Preparing for her journey, Ashrya stepped into the perilous Socoria Forest. Her spirits remained high as she trudged along. The journey was tough, with monstrous beasts and chilling winds. But with invincible courage and a radiant glow guiding her path, Ashrya pressed forward. She overcame each obstacle with an optimism that was brighter than the sun that lay obscured.
When Ashrya finally reached Mingleton, it was a heartbreaking sight. The once magnificent kingdom lay bereft of life. The palace shimmered beneath the haunting shroud of 'ever-night.' The townspeople shuffled around aimlessly, utterly defeated. Ashrya sensed a strange familiarity with the darkness. A thought crossed her mind. What if the glow she had been bestowed with was the light that the kingdom needed?
With this revelation, Ashrya bravely approached the ominous palace. To her amazement, she was not stopped. Maybe it was her radiant eyes or just an instinct, but the guards let her pass. Guided by her glow, Ashrya found the weak and dying King Lioric. 'Please, help us,' he managed to say, and in that moment, Ashrya could feel her light intensify.
She shut her eyes, directing all her energy, and the room was flooded with an ethereal brightness. Then, to everyone’s disbelief, dawn broke. The kingdom awakened from its unsolicited slumber, and life slowly began to resume. King Lioric's health astonishingly improved, leaving him weaker but alive. The resonating joy levitated the gloomy curse entirely.
Mingleton erupted in celebration, gratitude towards Ashrya flooding every nook and corner. They named her 'The Morning Sun', the savior who dispersed darkness.
Ashrya returned to Priggoville, not just as a brave adventurer, but a beacon of hope. The village had never been prouder. Her once ordinary life had transformed into an extraordinary tale, a tale that people would speak of for centuries to come.
The journey allowed Ashrya to discover her purpose, to be the light that the world needed. At the young age of 15, she had turned her historic tale into legend, becoming a symbol of hope for all kingdoms far and wide.
Thus, the girl 'Touched by the Gods' brought light where there was darkness, hope where there was despair, and left a trail of joy wherever she went. The tale of Ashrya, the savior of Mingleton, would live on for eons, leaving a mark as luminous as the glow in her eyes.
