The Legend of Novagarde
There was once a flourishing city-state hidden in the heart of the dense and ancient Catharine Forest. This city-state was called Novagarde, home to a thriving community of individuals showcasing the wonder of unity in diversity. In Novagarde, humans coexisted harmoniously with centaurs, elves, and even the rarely seen Phoenix. The city was hailed for its enchanting beauty and harmony, truly representative of a utopia on Earth. But deep down, Novagarde was grappling with a devastating secret—one that threatened to overshadow the city's peace and splendid harmony.
Elijah, a brave and noble young man, was the prince of Novagarde. Known for his valiant attributes and warm heart, he was loved by all. However, unknown to the others, Elijah was troubled by recurring dreams. Dreams of a treacherously terrifying beast tearing their city apart. To add to his distress, the city's sacred Oracle had prophesied that a gargantuan beast would emerge from the depth of the earth when the 'blood moon' arose.
As weeks turned into months, tension began to brew among the Novagarde citizens. The otherwise peaceful city was now shrouded in fear and dread. A date was marked on the city's grand calendar—the day the 'blood moon' would rise and the city's doom seemingly sealed.
One day, unable to bear the agony and fear in his heart, Elijah decided to defy his destiny. He pledged to find the beast from his dreams and slay it to save Novagarde. His resolve shocked his royal parents and garnered admiration from the city's inhabitants and even their neighbouring city-states.
He embarked on his arduous journey, armed with the Elden blade, known for felling multiple foes in the ancient war, and the Spirit of Novagarde—a mystical horse with ethereal wings—who flew him towards the perilous unknown.
Through vast deserts, treacherous terrains, and impenetrable jungles, they faced countless perils. Monsters, wraiths, storms, and hunger were their daily foes. Yet, their vigour never faltered. Elijah's courage and the Spirit's strength lit the hope in their hearts, guiding them towards their destiny.
Finally, they stood at the edge of the dreaded Abyss—a curse-ridden crack in the earth's crust that legend said led to the underworld. Plunging in without hesitation, they landed into the stomach of the beast. The horror from Elijah's dreams had sprung to life.
The ensuing battle was the stuff of legends - fiery and fierce. Losing seemed inevitable against the beast's infernal might. However, the Spirit nudged Elijah, reminding him of Novagarde awaiting their safe return. With renewed vigour, Elijah lifted the Elden blade high, emitting a brilliant light that pierced the beast's core, causing it to implode.
When Elijah and the Spirit emerged, the 'blood moon' set, and their city rejoiced. Cheers echoed against the stone walls. They returned as heroes, having saved Novagarde from the prophesied destruction. Tales of their brave defeat of the beast travelled across lands and time, marking them as characters in the legend known as the saviours of Novagarde.
The tale of Novagarde serves as a continuous reminder of bravery, perseverance, and the power of unity. Novagarde had not only survived the prophecy but thrived because they stood against the fear that sought to divide them. Novagarde's story etched itself into history, reinforcing the transcending power of courage and unity alike.
