The Last Starcatcher

Once upon a time, in a galaxy far far away, there existed a civilization of beings whose consciousness sprawled across the cosmos, intertwined with the fabric of the universe. They were known as the 'Starcatchers'. Their existence was a secret unknown to most, they were in a parallel plane of existence, one that is hidden from the prying eyes of lesser developed civilizations. Their main purpose was to shepherd young stars, guide them, help them grow, and even sadly see them die.
A thousand years had gone by since the birth of the last Starcatcher, Elian. Elian was nurtured with tales of heroism and gallantry by his mentors, tales of Starcatchers who shaped constellations, shielded the planets from rogue stars and comets, controlled the natural violent forces of the universe and used them for the betterment of cosmic balance.
However, a prophecy loomed over their existence. It foretold the end of their race, an inevitable apocalypse that was triggered by the birth of a comet named 'Calamis.'
Elian, being the youngest yet the most potent, was burdened with the responsibility to stop Calamis. He was armed with the secret knowledge of the 'Stellar Dance,' a sacred ritual enabling a Starcatcher to wield the energy of a star. It was a perilous task, only attempted by the bravest and most skilled Starcatchers.
As days turned into months, and months into years, Elian took upon the grueling task of mastering the 'Stellar Dance.' He voyaged across the vast universe, controlling supernovas, deviating asteroids, and merging black holes. In his journey, he was accompanied by his companion, the wise Arianna. She was a Starkeeper, the kind who weaved stories into constellations.
As the fateful day arrived, Elian was filled with trepidation and yet a strange resolve to face what was coming. From afar Calamis, the red comet blazed its way towards them. Arianna stood at his side, passing on her celestial strength to Elian in that decisive moment.
Elian began dancing across the cosmic stage, mirroring the rhythm of the universe. The stars scorched and shivered in response to his movements – they moved, they swirled, they danced, directed by the symphony guided by Elian's cosmic dance. As he reached the climax of the dance, Calamis was just upon them. With the last bit of his strength, Elian nudged Beltara, the biggest star under his command straight into Calamis's way.
There was a blinding light, and an echo of a powerful collision reverberated through the cosmos. Then, there was silence. When the dust settled, Calamis was no longer hurdling uncontrolled, it had been moved off its catastrophic path, and hurtling harmlessly into the black hole.
Meanwhile, Elian, drained from the impact, was on the border of the realm of death. Arianna held him close, pouring her strength and life into him. The Starcatchers around them, stood helpless, as they saw their last, fading away. However, the unthinkable happened, Elian survived. He was no longer a Starcatcher, he had transformed, evolved into a new kind of cosmic entity, one that was unique. Elian had become the first Starwielder.
They celebrated and mourned at the same time. Their most important prophecy was averted, yet their time had come to an end. As the last of them began transcending into cosmic dust, Elian promised to take over their duty of protecting the cosmos. Alongside him stood Arianna, now the last Starkeeper and the narrator of their heroic lineage.
The tale of the Last Starcatcher and the First Starwielder spread through the cosmos like ancient whispered secrets carried through the comets and asteroids, reminding all of the silent guardians that once helped stars to grow, shine, die, and be reborn again.
