Among them, The Sage of Wisdom, Elcarus, was the noblest, carrying the omnipotent Spark of Wisdom. This Spark had the power to shape destiny and was coveted by many for its unparalleled might.
Years passed peacefully under the governance of The Sages until Kael, an envious sorcerer, sought to dominate Evandel. Kael's yearning for power led him to wage war against The Sages. Brutally incapacitating each one of them, Kael wreaked havoc across Evandel. However, Elcarus, the last remaining Sage, managed to elude Kael's cruelty.
Knowing that the Spark must be kept away from Kael, Elcarus encoded a prophecy in the Grand Scroll of Evandel, which read, 'Only a heart true of intention can unlock the casket of the Spark and save Evandel'. Safekeeping the Spark in an enchanted casket, Elcarus placed it in the heart of the kingdom, bewitched by a deadly labyrinth called the Maze of Mirrors, fabled to reflect a man's true self.
With Elcarus's ultimate sacrifice, the Scroll and knowledge of the Spark passed into the annals of myth. Time morphed the truth into a mere fable, read to innocent ears. He was a man of simplicity, kind hearted and wise, unbeknownst to the lineage of Elcarus coursing within him. The prophecy resonated within him, filling him with a sense of destined responsibility.
He set off on a daring journey to the heart of Evandel, with prophecies in his mind and courage in his heart. Marven met a multitude of challenges on his path, each threat molded by Kael's relentless minions. However, the innocence of Marven's heart and his pure intention to save his homeland helped him resist their deceptive allure.
