The last Roar: The Tale of the Kingdom Ensorra
Once upon a time, nestled in the heart of a dense forest lied the enchanted kingdom known as Ensorra. Ensorra had long been ruled by a benevolent king named Aeldred. King Aeldred was a highly regarded figure, known for bringing peace, harmony and prosperity to his kingdom and his subjects. He was fair, wise and loved by all his people.
One day, the kingdom was visited by a mysterious hooded stranger. The stranger, none other than a renowned sorcerer named Dravadan, sought an audience with King Aeldred. He warned the king of an impending danger, 'A deadly beast as black as the heart of a snake, with fiery red eyes will awaken from the forbidden mountains and bring doom.' He offered his assistance to deal with the threat. He asked for nothing in return, only the king's faith and trust and an amulet that had been passed down through generations in the royal family.
King Aeldred, a wise and sagacious ruler, preempted pure intentions from Dravadan's ominous warning and handed over the ancestral amulet. With a nod, Dravadan took his leave promising to return once he managed to control the beast.
The days turned into weeks, weeks into months, and months into a year, with the kingdom living in the fear of unknown. The days were marked by anxiety, persistance, prayer and pervasive silence, interrupted only by the chiming palace bells, signaling hope and despair in turns.
One fateful day, the forbidden mountains trembled, and a monstrous beast emerged, roaring and spewing fire, as if seeking vengeance on the world. It descended upon Ensorra, causing devastation and chaos. Stricken by the horror that unfolded, King Aeldred and the citizens trembled with fear. The predictions were true, the beast was awakened. And in that moment of distraught, with courage and hope dropping, the sorcerer Dravadan returned.
With the amulet in his hand and chanting the language unknown, he stood as a bulwark against the monstrous beast. An epic battle of raw power versus magic ensued, causing the sky to tremble and the earth to shake. Just when Dravadan was about to be overpowered, he invoked the power of the amulet, filling it with the faith and prayers of the Ensorran people. A blinding light engulfed the battlefield. When the light lifted, the only thing left was the sorcerer, the exhausted King and his subjects, and the faint echo of a monster's roars.
King Aeldred breathed a sigh of relief, thanked the sorcerer, and hailed his bravery. Dravadan nodded acknowledging the king’s gratitude, handed the amulet back to Aeldred, and walked back into the shadows whence he came from.
The kingdom of Ensorra was left with remnants of what had transpired but with time, it regained its lost glory. King Aeldred, always remembered the brave sorcerer who saved Ensorra. He ruled with more wisdom and ensured that people lived in peace. King Aeldred's tales remained, a legend for generations.
The story of King Aeldred and Dravadan lives on till this day in the kingdom of Ensorra. Their tale is a constant reminder for the Ensorran people that in times of darkness and despair, bravery, wisdom, and unity is their true light.
