The Kingdom of Undying Sun
Once upon a time, in a kingdom far away, a humble blacksmith named Benji lived. Known for his golden heart and unmatched skills, his work would glitter like diamonds. His unmatched craft was a result of the secret method passed down through generations, that mixed a pinch of sunlight in the molten metal making it extraordinarily strong and beautiful. And because of this inherited skill, Benji was dearly loved and respected by the villagers. But, unluckily, he was poorly eyed by the bitter heart, ambitious, and the power-hungry witch, Dorilla.
Dorilla, green-eyed, had been waiting patiently for an opportunity to acquire the precious technique. By applying her cunning mind, she tricked Benji, cast a spell on him that induced deep sleep, ultimately swooping him away to her eerily chilling castle up on the death mountain. No one in the village had the courage to confront Dorilla and rescue Benji. The village, once vibrant, lost its charm without Benji. The homes and hearts were filled with despair and sorrow.
Far across the eight mountains and the seven seas, in the Ivory Tower, lived Princess Pearl. Blessed with a radiant smile, she was as brave as a lioness. Upon hearing the tales of Benji's predicament from a messenger bird, she resolved to help the poor blacksmith and embarked on a perilous journey to Dorilla's castle.
She battled venomous fiery snakes, crossing treacherous terrains, braving intense storms. Amidst all the perils, she never lost hope; her resilience ever growing stronger. She reached the castle, camouflaged in the darkness of the night, and managed to break into the castle unnoticed. She found Benji’s unconscious body lying solemnly on the floor, surrounded by Dorilla’s dark magic.
Unarmed, she was not deterred. Princess Pearl, with her knowledge of spells taught to her by her wise grandmother, shove Dorilla's magic away and awakened Benji. The witch, who felt the diminishing power, rushed back to apprehend the intruder. But she was dealt with a surprise as Princess Pearl quickly cast a confinement spell, trapping the witch in her own mirror. And thus, freeing Benji.
Princess Pearl and Benji returned back to the village, where the villagers were both shocked and jubilant to see their beloved blacksmith. Rejuvenated, the village came alive with celebratory music and cheers. Impressed by her bravery, Benji requested Princess Pearl to stay in the village. Looking at the love and warmth of the villagers, she decided to make the village her home. Benji and Princess Pearl soon fell in love and were married.
Eventually, Benji shared his ancestral craft with the inhabitants of the village. This made the village infinitely prosperous. The mesmerizing sparkle of their work caught the attention of neighboring towns, kingdoms, and even distant lands. The fame of their magnificent craftsmanship brought more trade, wealth, and happiness to the village, making it not only richer but also a symbol of hope against adversity.
Dorilla's mirror was buried deep in the ground, and over time, it got covered by hills and trees that turned into a lush forest, becoming a tale every villager told around the fire. With the love of Benji and Princess Pearl, the villagers, and the radiance of the sunlight-infused metalwork, the once simple village transformed into a Kingdom of Undying Sun. Benji became a hero, and Princess Pearl, the beacon of courage, reinstating the belief across the lands – two warm hearts can indeed conquer the coldest of darkness.
