The Island of Forgotten Tales
In a world not like ours, there existed a realm known as the Island of Forgotten Tales. This mystical island resided in the sea of Imagination, where stories that were forgotten by their authors, abandoned in the corners of their minds, sought sanctuary.
Every tale had a distinct character, a life of its own. Woven by hopes, dreams, elusions, and fantasies, these tales were brimming with creatures both extraordinary and mundane, humanoids, mythical beasts and talking fauna. Yet, the one thing they shared in common was a world incomplete, an ending unforetold, a character undefined.
Among all the tales, there was a single twist that was most peculiar – a princess called Liana. Liana was unlike any they had ever seen. She carried a beauty as radiant as the dawn, with her eyes sparkling bright azure and hair flowing deep ebony. But alas, her story was left unfinished. Her tale began with her birth, her growth into a noble character, and vanished at the climax where she was to ascend to the throne. The ripples of her incomplete tale emanated a profound sadness that touched every soul on the island.
Yearning for an end, Liana ventured through the island, seeking anyone who could complete her story. She met various ending-less creatures - a knight left mid-battle, a fairy with her magic half-gone, a beast caught right before his transformation. They were her kinship in misfortune. And through their shared incompleteness, she had found herself a new family.
When things seemed bleakest, a mysterious figure appeared on the Island. This stranger was a lost author named Eugene, who had found himself on the Island through no conceivable measure. In his heart, Eugene held a tale - scorched, devastated, and forgotten.
Eugene sensed Liana's charm among all other incomplete tales. He met Liana, and his heart ached for her unfinished fate. A tale so rich in potential should not be left incomplete, he thought. Eugene, with his author's gift, decided to give Liana and the Island the one thing they desperately needed - an ending.
He armed himself with his quill and headed into the world that Liana's original storyteller had painted. In the canvas of his mind, Eugene began to perceive inklings of her existence — her joys, her sorrows, her strengths. With a newfound determination, he dived headfirst into her tale.
Liana's world saw days turn into nights and seasons roll one over another as Eugene wrote. He gave Liana the reigns to her destiny, a throne to ascend, a kingdom to lead. The tale saw wars waged and peace accomplished. And in time, the tale drew towards its end. With every word that Eugene filled in, she experienced a sense of peace, and completion seeping into her. Finally, he wrote the end where she became a queen, beloved and just, ruling over her kingdom in prosperity.
Her tale now complete, Princess Liana was no longer an incomplete existence. She ascended the throne, her destiny fulfilled. Her beautiful eyes met Eugene's. A silent thank you passed between them.
Even though Eugene had to leave, his visit had brought hope to the Island, a zest for an ending. He had not only accomplished one tale but had stirred the sea of every tale on the Island of Forgotten Tales.
And so, the Island of Forgotten Tales no longer became a place for forgotten stories but a home for the ones waiting to be told. Each tale held its breath, awaiting an author who would give them their missing pieces. And inspired by Eugene, several more authors found their way to the Island to mend the broken, forgotten stories. The island now echoed with the music of closure, each note interweaving with the other to make a beautiful symphony of completed tales
