The Guardian of Mirrors
Once, in a world far different from ours, there was a vast kingdom named Trasom, known for its stunning beauty and magical charm. Trasom was encircled by an enormous mirror, which reflected its enchanted inhabitants and the magnificent castle it held. This mirror was not any ordinary reflective surface; it held a gateway to parallel worlds and was guarded by a guardian named Orion. Orion was a young, bravo, and handsome lad with enchanting beauty, reflecting the gracefulness of his kingdom.
On one fateful day, Orion discovered a unique mirror hidden deep within the castle. This mirror was different from others. It was larger, unusual, and glowed with an unholy light. Upon its surface, Orion saw not his reflection but a completely different world. This was a reflection of an unknown realm, filled with creatures and landscapes unfamiliar to him.
In this depicted world, there were monstrous beings, unlike any creatures in Trasom, who held stone-like hearts filled with vengeance against the magical realm. They had learned about the mirror and hungered to harness its power. Once they knew of the mirror's location, war was inevitable.
One fateful night, the sky above Trasom darkened, and the ground shook violently. A cyclone fueled by dark magic had formed in the sky and made its way towards the castle. Orion and the people of Trasom watched in horror as these creatures broke through the mirror, charging toward Trasom's castle.
Orion, despite his fear, stood bravely in front of the castle, wielding his enchanted sword, ready to protect his kingdom and its people. The battle began, fierce and deadly. Orion fought bravely, his sword clashing with the enemy's. Stubborn and courageous, Orion challenged the leader of the creatures, a gigantic being named Gorgon.
As Orion and Gorgon's battle intensified, Orion found an opening and drove his sword through Gorgon's heart. Gorgon fell with a great thud, shaking the entire kingdom. Following their leader's defeat, the monstrous beings retreated back to the mirror.
Orion, weary but victorious, approached the mirror. He knew what he had to do. With a heavy heart, he shattered the mirror into a million glinting pieces, sealing the gateway to the enemy's world forever. He saved Trasom but confined himself to a life of remorse, having taken a life, even if it was for the good of his people.
As he looked upon the remains of the mirror, Orion noticed a small piece still reflecting Gorgon's world. But instead of ferocious beings, he saw ordinary creatures, innocent and harmless, living in fear under Gorgon's reign.
In that moment, Orion realized the mirror did not just show reflections of other worlds, but it mirrored the soul of who stood before it. It reflected their fears, their virtues, their vices, and their undiscovered selves. The mirror was deceptive, yet enlightening; it was a hidden layer of one’s soul, a part untouched by worldly views. Orion was taken aback. He went from a routine life to becoming a guardian, a warrior, and now, a changed man.
Orion turned the remaining mirrors facing the sky, allowing them to absorb the magical charm of Trasom and the enchanting power of the universe. He wished the mirrors would reflect not the fear and threat perceived by the looker but the real essence of their being, their potential, their undiscovered selves. It became his mission to make sure that every mirror reflected not just faces but identities and stories. His tale has been told in Trasom for centuries, reminding the people of the heroism, courage, and wisdom of their Guardian, Orion, the Guardian of Mirrors.
