The Golden Mark of Las Aventura
Once upon a time in a distant land, beyond the reach of many, there existed a place called Las Aventura. A city known for its High Cathedral, shimmering sea, and a bustling marketplace filled with stands selling unlimited kinds of fruits, vegetables, bread, meat, cheese, and olive oil.
Among the heart of this city lived a young boy named Nicolas. Noticeably different from everyone, Nicolas was born with a golden mark on his forehead. The villagers believed it was a sign of an extraordinary destiny. They would give him nicknames such as the 'The Golden Child' or 'The Boy Of Prophecy.'
However, Nicolas craved nothing but normalcy. The attention from his fellow villagers made him uncomfortable and anxious. He tried to cover the mark with cloth, only for it to shine brighter. His only solace was his widowed mother, Lucia. She calmed him by telling stories about their ancestors - the mighty knights of Las Aventura, who bore the same symbol, a golden mark.
One day, strange events began to unfold. The usually vibrant High Cathedral's bell stopped working. The withdrawing sea unveiled mysterious ruins. The marketplace's fruits turned bitter overnight. The village fell into disarray. The villagers, filled with dread, looked to Nicolas, their prophesied savior, for help.
Lucia, seeing her son's fear, told him about the Legacy Stone. Lost in legends, the stone was an ancestral heirloom. It bore the power to restore harmony within Las Aventura. But its location was a secret known only to those bearing the mark. Lucia, with teary eyes, handed Nicolas a faded map to find the stone.
Determined, Nicolas agreed to set out on an arduous journey. The journey took him through looming mountains, dense forests, and rocky terrains. The map led him to an ancient cave where he found a gigantic stone door with signs identical to his golden mark.
Nicolas, filled with a sense of urgency, touched the door with his marked forehead. To his utter astonishment, the door shuddered and creaked open. Evading numerous traps and solving riddles, Nicolas reached the inner chamber, where the Legacy Stone was kept.
The Legacy Stone gleamed with a mysterious light and hummed with unseen power. Nicolas touched his mark to the stone, and time seemed to stand still. A brilliant light engulfed him. When the light dimmed, Nicolas found himself returned to Las Aventura. But things were different. The High Cathedral's bell was ringing cheerfully again. The sea retreated, hiding the ruins. The marketplace was full of fresh fruits. A wave of relief passed through the villagers as they noticed these changes.
Nicolas, the boy uncomfortable with attention, became the city's savior. He discovered that his golden mark was not a burden but a blessing, it was his legacy to continue. From that day onwards, Nicolas wore his mark proudly. And instead of distancing himself from his destiny, he embraced it, ready to protect his city, his home, and all of Las Aventura.
