The Golden Fruit of Enchante
Once upon a time, in the lush green lands of Serenity, there existed a mysterious forest named Enchante. This forest was known for its enchanted, evergreen trees, magical creatures, and exotic fruits. The sleepless river that flowed parallel was an impeccable sight, reflecting the vibrant colors of the vivid sky. Yet, there was something unusual about Enchante; it was believed to house a mystical golden fruit that had the power to heal any ailment.
However, the golden fruit wasn't meant for everyone, as it was protected by a loyalty test crafted by the Spirits of the forest. The villagers of Serenity lived in harmony, celebrating the beauty of nature, fully aware of the mystical forest's tale. For generations, the story of the golden fruit was shared as bedtime stories, teaching the lesson of loyalty and truthfulness.
Meanwhile, in Serenity, lived a humble and soft-hearted farmer, Eron. Eron was known as the 'Healer' for his ability to cure the villagers' petty illnesses using the medicinal herbs from his own farm. But, Eron had a secret longing; the longing to find the golden fruit to heal his ailing mother.
One beautiful morning, Eron decided to venture into the Enchante to face the loyalty test. Stepping in, Eron was awed by the vibrant landscape – sparkling waterfalls, captivating exotic birds, fragrant flowers, and more. Terrified, yet resolute, Eron continued his path.
After wandering for hours, he encountered a magical white deer that possessed the knowledge of the forest's paths. Sensing Eron's kind-heartedness, the deer decided to guide him. Crossing various challenging obstacles, both of them finally reached the center of the forest, where the golden fruit belonged. There they encountered the mighty Spirit of the forest who patrolled the golden fruit.
The Spirit, observing the traces of fear and determination in Eron's eyes, initiated the test. It asked Eron to distinguish between an ordinary fruit and the golden fruit within three guesses. Eron was in a dilemma. However, remembering his mother's ailing face pushed him to proceed. Picking up each fruit and inspecting them carefully, Eron took his first guess and failed.
Driven by desperation, Eron pleaded with the spirit for a clue, to which the spirit replied, 'Loyalty towards your loved one isn't determined by a fruit, but by the heart's purity.' This puzzled Eron even more.
Falling deep into thoughts, Eron observed his surroundings. He saw kindness, harmony, and beauty. It hit him then; the golden fruit was not actually 'gold' in appearance but in virtue. With renewed resolve, he picked a normal-looking but radiating apple, declaring it to be the golden fruit.
The forest trembled, and the Spirit beamed, confirming his correct choice. Eron, exhilarated, thanked the Spirit, the deer, and the forest. Heading back, he healed his mother with the fruit. His feat gave a new definition to the mysterious tale of Enchante.
Eventually, the story of Eron's bravery, loyalty, and wisdom traveled across different lands, inspiring generations to come. The tale of Enchante retained its charm, with the understanding that the true value lies not in appearances but in kindness and truthfulness.
