The Forgotten Land
Once upon a time, in a far-off land where ink-black trees towered and golden grasses waved beneath sapphire skies, there sat a forgotten kingdom. It was widely believed that this forgotten kingdom was nothing more than a bedtime story, a fairy tale told by elders to pass on mythical tales of bravery and compassion to the younger generations. This forgotten land was known as the kingdom of Aran.
The tale that I am about to unfold is not encompassed within the realms of ordinary life. It is a story of an audacious prince, a zealous witch and a forgotten kingdom destined to be in ruins.
Once, a courageous, gallant prince named Altaior was born in the royal house of Aran. He had sparkling sapphire eyes similar to the bright skies of Aran. With a heart as vast as the oceans, he was known for his courage and kindness throughout the land.
As Altaior grew, so did the tales of his bravery. However, unbeknownst to the prince, a zealous witch named Morgana followed his tales with envy and wrath building inside her. Fueled by her jealousy and longing to claim Aran as her own, the witch decided to cast a spell that would bring eternal darkness upon the land.
As the spell was cast, the bright blue sky turned ink black. A mist of silence spread throughout the kingdom, freezing everything within its boundary. The kingdom was doomed, thrown into an endless night.
Upon discovering the sudden darkness and the curse imposed, Prince Altaior made it his mission to save his land and his people from the eternal night. He journeyed to the ends of the earth and braved perils unheard of. During his journey, he met an old hermit, who told Altaior of the witch's curse and that the only way to break the curse would be to retrieve the mystical sword, the 'Dawnbringer', said to have the power to bring back the daylight.
Taking the hermit's words to heart, Altaior wandered into the treacherous heart of the ancient forest, where it was said monsters lurked under every gnarled tree root, to retrieve the mythical Dawnbringer. Against all odds, with his courage in his heart and determination burning bright, he triumphed over the creatures of the forest and retrieved the sword.
With Dawnbringer in hand, Altaior faced Morgana in a battle of destiny. After an intense fight, he managed to strike Morgana with the Dawnbringer. In a flash of dazzling light, the witch was destroyed, liberating the kingdom from the curse, bringing back the long missed daylight.
It is through this adventure, this tale of bravery, that Prince Altaior became a legend, illuminating the history of their kingdom forever. The kingdom of Aran once feared of being forgotten rose from the ashes, forever to remember the sacrifice and bravery of their beloved Prince Altaior, the savior, the one who restored light to their once doomed kingdom.
