The Feline Storm Watcher of Little Berkley

Meet Miss Amelia, a regal woman known for her love for cats. Everyone in the sleepy, coastal town of Little Berkley knew Miss Amelia - not only for the countless stray cats she looked after but also for her uncanny ability to tell when a storm was coming. Their little town was famous for the unpredictable weather, and so, Miss Amelia’s talent was much appreciated.
People in the town used to say, 'When Miss Amelia closes her windows, you better get your washing in.' But behind her quiet, mysterious demeanor, there was a story that started during a thunderous night.
Years ago, Miss Amelia was a lively woman of just 20 with hazel eyes beaming with dreams. Her favorite spot was a tiny island off Little Berkley's coast, reachable only by a small boat ride. There stood an ancient lighthouse, a beacon of hope for lost seafarers in the storm, managed by an old, grizzled man called Captain Haddock. Amelia and Haddock shared an unusual friendship. She visited the lighthouse frequently, enjoying the happy tranquility, an escape from routine life.
One stormy night, while she was at the lighthouse, Amelia looked out to see a majestic ship wrestling against the raging storm. Helpless, she watched it getting pulled into the rocks. The storm made every second count. They needed to guide the ship away from the looming danger, but the lighthouse lamp was malfunctioning. According to the Captain, only a robust light from the mantling room could reach far enough.
In the torrential rain, Amelia and Haddock raced to the towering room. But before they could retrieve the lamp, a stray cat darted into the room, knocking over the oil and setting the floor ablaze. The flame escalated, forcing them to retreat, leaving them with no backup plan.
Amelia, hope dwindling, could only think about the doomed sailors in the ship. But then, in a burst of insight, she recalled her small collection of unusually glowy stones she had picked from the beach and had affectionately named 'sea candles'. These stones, when together, illuminated a radiant light. Without a second thought, she raced to her boat, braving the harsh wind and wet ground. She made her way to her home, grabbed her precious collection, and returned promptly.
Meanwhile, Haddock with his vast knowledge of signaling, prepared to use the stones. From their height, they arranged the sea candles in Morse code to spell 'Danger ahead - shift course.' Time inched by ominously, a miracle they were hoping for. After what seemed like eternity, they noticed a slight shift in the ship’s movement, and slowly, it navigated away from the whirlwind of sea and rocks. The ship was safe.
The town hailed them as heroes the next day. For Amelia, she realized she found her purpose - saving stray cats who saved them that night and became the herald of storms for her townfolk.
To this day when the wind becomes a little uneasy, and the skies darken, you can see Miss Amelia with her feline companions, gazing out to the sea with her old sea candles at her side, ever-ready to face another storm.
