The Fate Symphony

In a world where music had the power to manifest physically, a small, secluded city existed. It was home to an orchestra known as the 'Fate Symphony'. Each musician in that orchestra was unparalleled, capable of creating melody that altered the fabric of reality. The city was called 'Sonorica', utopia of harmonious existence tailored by music.
The tale of Selene, a gifted violinist, known for her enchanting melodies, takes root here. Selene's music had the power to manipulate time itself, specifically, it could rewind time. Upon playing her violin, the surrounding air would ripple with energy, transforming into waves, that turning back time. Hence, she was adored and respected in Sonorica.
Selene had a younger brother, Ethan, who was born deaf. For Ethan, the world was a silent painting, vibrant yet devoid of melody. Despite his impairment, Ethan shared a strong bond with Selene. Selene often played for him, and though he could not hear, he could see the phenomenon her music caused. In his heart, he harbored a dream of hearing the magic that Selene created, his longing eyes echoed this wish.
One day, a threatening force approached Sonorica. A legion of malevolent entities, 'Eristics', feasted on harmony, turning everything they touched into disarray. The Fate Symphony valiantly fought these entities by playing music, spellbinding symphonies reverberated through each corner of Sonorica creating shields of sound.
Among them, Selene conjured scenes from the city's glorious past, momentarily warding off Eristics, but the constant ideal past-scapes began tiring her. Selene's time-rewinding power was a double-edged sword; while it was a mighty weapon, it also drained her life energy.
Ethan, unable to perceive this tragic concert, noticed his sister's weakening state. He approached her, held her hand, and felt the vibrations from her violin. Seeing his sister's plight, Ethan picked up the conductor's baton and took the stand.
He looked at his sister and nodded, a silent promise passing between them. Ethan, despite his impairment, conducted the orchestra, feeling the rhythm through the vibrations in the air. This made the symphony more harmonized, more substantial, enabling Sonorica to hold longer against the Eristics.
But Selene was nearing her limit. In her final moments, she played with a desperate energy. The beautiful melody rippled around, reversing the city back to the exact moment when Ethan was born.
With a final defiant note, Selene collapsed, her life force drained. As the note of her last symphony resonated, baby Ethan, against all odds, received his hearing. He cried, the world filled with sounds unfamiliar and overwhelming, but beautiful.
Chronology reset itself as the song ended, catapulting Sonorica and Eristics back to their respective realities. The city was saved, but at a grave cost. Ethan, although now in future Sonorica, retained the gift of hearing. He had finally heard the magic of his sister's music, the most beautiful melody, but with it came an unbearable silence.
Now, Ethan played in memory of his sister. He couldn't turn back time or create shields, but his music could elicit hope and strength, remind each one in Sonorica of the brave soul they had lost, embedding her firmly into the echoes of the city she saved.
