The Enchantment of the Lost Atlantis

Once upon a time, nestled deep in the heart of the Atlantic Ocean, uncloaked from the eyes of the world, lay the dreamlike island of Atlantis. As ancient as time itself, the lost city of Atlantis, was a paradise, where faith, knowledge, and wisdom formed the pillars of life.
Emerging from the azure blue, the island was a tapestry of grand palaces, golden statues, and exotic wildlife interspersed with sprawling gardens and dazzling waterways, all reflecting a unique fusion of technology and beauty. The Atlanians, inhabitants of Atlantis were a tranquil race epitomizing serenity and virtue, harnessing the powers of nature through Orichalcum, an omnipotent crystal of sorts that powered all of Atlantis.
Central to the city was the grand Palace of Poseidon. Twisty turrets, grand pantheons adorned with precious jewels, made it the city's heart, beating rhythmically alongside the atlanteans. Within the palace dwelt the King, Atlas, a wise and fair ruler, believed to converse with Gods, guiding his people on the path of prosperity, unity, and faith. Atlantis was more than an island; it was a utopia of peace and bliss, a dreamscape where harmony danced with prosperity.
As years slipped away, the city grew bolder in power, its magnificence surpassing anything ever seen. It shone brighter than the stars, its glow reaching the Gods. Yet, with time, change winded its way into the tranquillity of the city. As the Atlanteans' strength grew, so did their arrogance. They began to misuse the power of Orichalcum, their reverence for nature dwindling, replaced by greed.
Observing their gradual descent, Poseidon, God of the Sea decided to teach them a lesson. He sent disguised mortal, Selena, an embodiment of wisdom and humility, to Atlas's court. Selena spoke of humility and respect towards mother nature, yet her words fell on deaf ears. The Atlanteans ridiculed her, their laughter echoing far and wide.
The pride of the Atlanteans was the last straw. Enraged, Poseidon called upon Neptune, God of Earthquakes and Storms, to unleash a nightmare upon Atlantis. Dark clouds swallowed the once azure skies, an eerie quiet replacing the once jubilant laughter. Suddenly, the earth shook violently, sea-waves mountain high clashed with the golden gates, whilst storms wreaked havoc, darkness extinguishing the city's glow.
Atlas, horrified, searched for Selena, now revealed as Poseidon's emissary only to be greeted by her fading image. 'Learn humility, O wise King, before it is too late', whispered Selena before vanishing.
Desperate, Atlas gathered his people. Together, they cried out to Poseidon, promising repentance. Silhouetted beneath the stormy skies, their united plea echoed across the furious seas to Poseidon.
Moved by their plea, Poseidon eased the calamity yet decided on a stern punishment. He decreed 'Atlantis, your arrogance has led to your downfall. Henceforth, you shall lie invisible to the mortal world, a legend, a myth, awakening only when mankind is worthy of your wisdom.'
Thus, the once mighty city of Atlantis, retreated beneath the waves, obscured from the human eye, its location known only to the wind, waves, and the forgotten pages of time. Yet, tales of its glory, wisdom, and downfall traversed through generations, a solemn reminder of humility and respect towards nature.
Will the lost city ever rise from its watery slumber, basking in its former glory? Time, as they say, is the only holder of the secret.
The End.
