The Crystal Waters of Atlantis

Once upon a time, in a world undisturbed by modern civilization, nestled on an isolated island in the heart of the great ocean, was the shimmering city of Atlantis. It was a splendid city, made entirely of radiant quartz and glowing gemstones, it was entirely submerged under the sea.
King Poseidon, the indisputable ruler of Atlantis, was not just a king, but also a potent sorcerer. He had a stunning crystal staff through which he wielded his mighty magic. The staff had been passed down through generations and it was the source of their unyielding power and prosperity. It had a single commandment, 'Never to be used for personal gain or any wickedness.'
King Poseidon had two sons, the elder son, Altair, noble and heroic, and the younger son, Sirius, ambitious and slightly infamous. Altair was anticipated to inherit the throne and the magical staff. However, Sirius' envy gradually grew like an uncontrollable wildfire, fuelled by his ambitious dreams of power and authority.
Within the heart of Sirius, a plan was slowly taking form. One fateful night, driven by jealousy and ambition, Sirius decided to steal the staff while their father was asleep. He was successful in his covert operation and immediately, the rampant power of the staff flowed through his veins, making him feel invincible.
With the staff under his control, he attempted to claim the throne. However, the city of Atlantis was not oblivious to the wickedness befalling upon it. The crystal city sensed the betrayal and started to rumble, the sea teeming with storms. Yet stubborn in his quest, Sirius ignored the warnings and in his rashness, turned his brother into a statue using the powerful crystal staff.
His actions fueled by selfishness and greed awoke the wrath of the sea. Mighty waves began to crash over Atlantis, threatening to engulf the magical city as the sea turned vicious. Sirius realized his mistake, but it was too late to undo the actions already put into motion. In fear and anguish, he yelled out a thunderous apology to the sea, his father, and the city he adored.
However, his cries fell on deaf ears, or so it seemed. Atlantis was drowning and in the midst of this chaos, King Poseidon woke up. With an astounded heart, he realized what had happened and immediately, he used the residual energy of the staff in his heart to suspend Atlantis in a magical bubble. The bubble, time-bound, would dissolve as soon as Altair was brought back to life, signaling the return of the rightful ruler.
King Poseidon, beside Sirius, confessed his deepest regrets for not seeing Sirius's pain and ambition earlier. And in a swift and serene moment, the King dissolved into thin air, being one with the ocean he loved deeply. Sirius had doomed his magnificent city and his family into a state of suspended animation beneath the sea.
Up till today, the legends say that the city of Atlantis still exists, submerged in the heart of the ocean, undisturbed and isolated, awaiting the return of Altair to reclaim his rightful throne, release the city from its suspension, and restore its former glory. As for Sirius, legend has it that he roams as a tragic and immortal spirit over the waves of the sea, bearing the weight of his misdoings and seeking redemption.
