The Crystal Lake

In a world where magic was as normal as walking, sitting high atop a beautiful emerald hill laid a peaceful kingdom, Auroria. This kingdom was renowned for its beauty, its kind-hearted folk and a serene, sparkling lake known as The Crystal lake.
One day, a kind and charismatic stranger, Elandor, arrived at Auroria. He was a travelling bard, his rich voice weaving enchanting tales of the magical world. Tall and handsome, with eyes the color of spring leaves, Elandor was humble and full of gentle wisdom. His songs had a unique touch of magic that reached out to the hearts of the people, captivating them all – from the innocent children to the wise old folks.
Now, the Crystal Lake was known to have a mystical entity encased within it, known as the Crystal Maiden. But, the lake had been silent for centuries, the maiden unseen. On the day Elandor arrived, something stirred beneath its surface. The Maiden, enchanted by Elandor's magical, melodious voice, decided to reveal herself. Radiant as the moonlight, with hair shimmering like a waterfall of silver under the sun and a smile as gentle as a summer breeze, she was a sight to behold. Drawn to Elandor's song and his radiant presence, she established a connection of mutual understanding and respect with him.
King Aurion, wise and just, was cautious yet intrigued by these events. He had heard tales of the maiden's magic, her power that could either bring immense prosperity or wipe out Auroria entirely. The cautious king made a deal with Elandor. If he ensured the maiden's promise to retain peace, he would be bestowed with riches and gold. Elandor, hoping to quiten the rising fear and ensure the Maiden's good intentions, agreed.
Elandor and the maiden spent days communicating, singing songs of peace, and finding a middle ground. Gradually, they grew fond of each other, their bond transcending mere human connections. The maiden trusted Elandor enough to let go of her immense power, binding it within the Crystal Lake, pledging peace in Elandor's stead.
True to his word, King Aurion rewarded Elandor and hailed him a hero. The kingdom celebrated the peace pact for days, songs of joy resonating in the air. But Elandor felt a deep void, a piece of his heart longed for the maiden’s companionship.
In the end, realizing that the vastness of the world could never fill the void the maiden had left in him, Elandor chose to return to the Crystal Lake. Though the maiden could now only exist as an entity without a form, her aura of light resonated with Elandor, filling the emptiness within him.
Though Elandor is long gone, it is said that on calm, moonlight nights, when you sit by the Crystal Lake, you can still hear Elandor's voice blending with the whispering wind and the soft rustle of the water— forever singing songs of peace to the maiden. And the maiden, though not to be seen, could be felt in the faint, warm glow upon the lake, forever listening.
In the peaceful kingdom of Auroria, high atop the emerald hills, lies the beautiful crystal lake - a silent testament to the eternal love between a human and an ethereal entity. A saga of sacrifice, love, and a song echoing through ages.
