In a land known far and wide for its vast mines and impressive gem array, lies the small, peaceful village of Gemmington. This story revolves around a young boy named Myles, an ambitious miner's son, yearning to unearth extraordinary gems like his father, to make a name for himself.
Myles was unlike other children of his age. Ordinarily, children played under the sun, exploring the beauty of the world that surrounded them. But for Myles, the sun's radiance couldn't compare to the sparkle he saw in a simple chunk of mineral. Myles' passion was ignited from a very early age when his father would return home with curious gemstones, their shimmering surfaces reflecting tales of great adventures.
One day, Myles' father returned from a routine mining expedition with a poorly cut gemstone. Despite its rough exterior, Myles sensed an unusual energy radiating from it.
