The Colour from the Sky

In the tranquil town of Jericho, nestled between luscious green hills and sprawling meadows, lived Heston, a humble painter. For years his art was painted in the monochrome shades of grayscale; he never used any other hues, as his world had no color. However, this condition didn't prevent him from imagining the colors that surrounded his world. He was charmed by the unending mysteries hidden within the visual spectrum that he never experienced.
One day, Heston found a peculiar old man stumbling his way into Jericho. His clothes were ragged, his body frail, but his eyes glittered with an unusual color, akin to a sunset on a foreign planet. He introduced himself as Orion, a traveler who journeyed between dimensions. Orion claimed to have come from a world where color descended from the sky. Intrigued, Heston invited Orion to stay in his home, in return for stories from his travels.
Orion shared stories filled with purple sunsets, green moons, and cyan clouds, making Heston see a world beyond his imagination. What interested Heston more was the Traveler's Bag, which Orion kept with him at all times. It was an ethereal object developed by advanced civilizations. It could absorb hues from any world, only to release them in another.
Seeing Heston's fascination with colors, Orion decided to open the Traveler's Bag. As he opened the bag, a swirling maelstrom of every color imaginable spilled out, pooling on the canvas set in front of them. The colors danced together, fusing into new shades, radiating a symphony of vibrant life. Heston was taken aback; he tilted his head, squinted, and found himself engrossed in the spectacle. Alien yet familiar colors flooded his vision as if his world got a life, a beauty he had never seen before.
From then, every day was an experiment. He touched the turquoise of the distant seas, the golden blush of the dawn, the inky blue of the night. He felt like a child again, discovering new wonders of the universe. Orion helped him, guiding his hands across the canvas, mixing the colors, creating the scenes Heston yearned to depict.
One night, Orion shared his final story – a legendary tale of the Rainbow Planet, a celestial body made of rainbows, emitting powerful color energy. Orion described the planet vividly, using colors Heston had begun to understand. Listening to Orion, Heston felt a deep connection to the Rainbow Planet.
Inspired, Heston set out to create his masterpiece. He painted for days, pouring his soul onto the canvas, every detail etched with care. His hands danced over the canvas, the colors harmoniously coming together to paint a breathtaking scene—a portrait of the Rainbow Planet.
The moment Heston finished his painting, Orion announced that he had to leave. His time in Jericho had come to an end. Before leaving, Orion pointed towards the painting and told Heston, 'Every time you look at this painting, remember, you aren't just a painter, but a color seer.'
As Orion disappeared, Heston was left with a painting throbbing with colors and a life changed forever. He spent the rest of his days painting vibrant landscapes, exploring the spectral wonders of the universe. Heston, once a grayscale painter, had found the color from the sky.
His masterpiece, 'The Rainbow Planet', became a symbol of hope, igniting the fire of imagination in millions, encouraging them to expand their horizons and see life in its true, vibrant colors.
