The Cobbler's Magical Shoes

In a small, tranquil village named Cherrapunjee nestled in the Northeastern hills of India, lived a humble cobbler named Kishan. Kishan wasn't just an ordinary cobbler. He was known throughout the village for his magical shoes.
The village folk claimed that whoever wore Kishan's shoes was bestowed with unusual luck and prosperity. So, anyone embarking on risky expeditions or commencing something new, sought Kishan's shoes. Kishan was generous enough to lend his shoes, asking nothing more than a heartfelt blessing in return.
One day, a greedy merchant named Bhima heard the tale of Kishan's magical shoes. Bhima, with the intention to exploit the shoes' potential, deceitfully requested Kishan for a pair. Kishan, unaware of Bhima's ill intentions, handed him his finest pair.
Soon after, Bhima began to amass wealth. Over time, his riches multiplied, his power grew, and he morphed into a tyrant, exploiting villagers to the brink. The peace of Cherrapunjee was disrupted. Witnessing the horrors unleashed by Bhima, Kishan realized the misuse of his gift. He decided to retrieve the shoes and curb Bhima's tyranny.
However, confronting Bhima was no child's play. He was guarded by henchmen in a fortified mansion. Despite the danger, Kishan embarked on the challenge, fueled by compassion for his fellow villagers.
Through silent nights, Kishan, disguised as a merchant, began looking for an opportunity. He observed Bhima's routine carefully. Each evening, Bhima would sip his golden grape drink and admire his wealth accumulated in a grand room. Kishan decided to strike then.
One evening, Kishan sneaked into Bhima's mansion. He managed to reach the grand room, where Bhima lay intoxicated. Kishan tiptoed, fetched the magical shoes from Bhima's feet, and quietly replaced them with normal ones.
Having retrieved the shoes, Kishan hastened back home. The villagers were all in disbelief witnessing Kishan return unharmed, clutching his magical shoes. Almost immediately after, the village folk noticed a significant change. Bhima's tyrannical rule began to falter. His wealth dwindled, his power diminished, and he was eventually overthrown by the villagers.
Once again, peace was restored in Cherrapunjee, and Kishan was celebrated as their savior. The magical shoes returned to their humble abode, signifying that ultimate power lies not in wealth but in kindness and humility.
Since then, before lending out his magical shoes, Kishan began identifying if the seeker truly deserved them. He made sure that they would use the magical shoes for the welfare of others, marking a new era where magic served as a source of peace and prosperity. And so, Kishan's shoes continued to weave stories of miracles, but this time, bound by one condition – that magic should never be abused or misused.
Even today, when you walk through the cobbled streets of Cherrapunjee, you'll hear tales of the humble cobbler and his magical shoes, a testament to the vast power of kindness and humility.
